Haha, I didn't see that about Colin.

He is an arse but seems to get results.

Nuno's reaction in this was brilliant

Agree it felt temporary. I occasionally look down the table at Cardiff and
Huddersfield and think that I know what they'd be talking about:

"We have a couple of easier games coming up and IF we win those and IF
those other teams lose we have a chance of moving to 18th"

LOL

Thanks for that. I already knew the date - 26th Dec 1998. Result was what I
didn’t know. Swindon won 1-0... it was Boxing Day - our first Xmas in the UK -
we had just arrived to live in London for 3 years and had Xmas with my mate and
his wife who lived out in Newbury. Despite the awful start (until last year I
used to describe being a Wolves fan as having chronic depression for 6 months
of the year...) I would rather be a Wolves fan than a Swindon fan! They are
mid-table in League 2!

But despite a pretty rubbish first 18 years - even when we were promoted in the
early and mid 000s it always felt temporary - I would rather be a Wolves fan
today than anything else. The previous struggles makes this season even more
exciting and rewarding.

Re: [Boo! Nuno out!] Hi - introducing myself - I'm a new member!

2019-02-05 Thread Steven Millward
That's a very timely question Jim

I emailed the club last May with our website and contact details and got an
acknowledgement of receipt but nothing ever happened - I did that after we
set up the website and Melbourne Wolves suggested it

Wolves then started a more formal Worldwide Supporters club last year.

Another person who lives up near Rog registered his own NSW supporters club
with the Wolves. I've emailed Wolves and explained that our club has been
running for 30 years with 30 members but they insist on keeping it with the
other bloke who is the only member. They also wouldn't allow us to be
called New South Wolves as it has to be a geographic name.

I spoke to Rog about it on Sunday. We've been going for 30 years with zero
support from Wolves but now they want to tell us who is responsible, what
we are called and what area we can cover (it was suggested by Wolves that
we become Sydney Wolves if we want to register)

There's no rush for us to do anything right now. I've emailed the club
again and asked them to sort it out with the other bloke. I've been email
the other bloke, Karl, and Rog has met him. He's a nice guy but he needs to
work this out with Wolves.

Hi Tim,
I’m 51 and a die hard wolves fan. I’ve been following the lads since about
1974. I’ve only just joined myself, so we’re both newbies lol.
Me and my family moved from just outside Wolverhampton in 2009. We live S/W of
Sydney in a small country town called Robertson. It’s in the Southern Highlands
and about halfway between Sydney and Canberra. I last went back in 2013 and was
lucky enough to see us beat Cardiff and Blackburn at home. Me and the wife are
going back Easter this year and I’m hoping to get a ticket for the Brighton
game. Anyway come on me babbies against Shrewsbury in the morning.

Also I hassled Adidas about bringing the kit into Australia and they "politely

It has been a LONG time since I have seen a match live in person - all the way

Muscat and Steve Corica were playing - shortly after the Robbie Keane era (when
their one strategy was to kick it upfield - in the air - to the very short
striker and get him to score...). Last match I saw live was against West Brom
at Molineux - and I think we lost? Funnily enough I ended up playing against
Corica last year in a local futsal comp (safe to say they thrashed us!) - but I
think he was surprised that anyone in Australia knew he even played for Wolves!
