Antwort: Re: [NTG-context] Interactive things and exact placement of graphics
Hi, thanks for your answer :-) These tipps will help a lot and answers a piece of my questions. With metafun I produced a graphic an the text comes in with \framed like its described in metafun and this works fine. The exact positioning is a problem but it works, not total like my suggestions, with a table. I've read mwidget and I have a question. Is it possible to mak a goto to a exact site in my document? I've read of next, previous and other documents but can I say something like goto page 5 of the document ? thx Jessica ___ ntg-context mailing list ntg-context@ntg.nl http://www.ntg.nl/mailman/listinfo/ntg-context
Re: [NTG-context] font scaling in typescripts
Please disregard this question; I was being stupid. The proper way to do the scaling is \definetypeface [MyAGaramond] [tt] [mono] [agaramondsemi] [default] [rscale=0.9,encoding=texnansi] Sorry for the noise. I have defined a typescript for my Adobe Garamond, and I want Courier as the monotype font accompanying it. Since Courier is a bit too big compared to Garamond, I want to scale it down, so I have this line in my typescript (yes, I have adapted my own Courier, I have given up on all the changes in names etc. in the latest teTeX releases): \definefontsynonym [Courier] [texnansi-Courier sa 0.9] [encoding=texnansi] This works almost perfectly; Courier is scaled exactly like I want it. There's one small problem: the first occurrence of monotype in the document will print sa 0.9 at 12.0pt just before the passage in monotype. This happens only once in the document, but it doesn't look very nice. Bug or feature? Re: [NTG-context] Chinese in utf-8
(beware, the font-chi modules talk about unicode while actually it's about dedicated mapings resembling a unicode approach; this \defineucharmapping stuff) Yes indeed, that had me going... :-) Oh well. Thanks for the insight, I'll feedback further. I have to say I'm unable to make any sense of it at the moment. I think I understand the logic of what is needed but understanding the current implementation is way beyond my current capacity. Does anyone else have a need to process Simplified Chinese encoded in UTF-8? If not, perhaps I should just explore getting my sources changed into GBK. If there was someone else with the same need we could perhaps share the burden... Thanks again, Duncan (PS I'm away for the next week, please don't think I'm ignoring you if I don't reply over that period.) ___ ntg-context mailing list ntg-context@ntg.nl http://www.ntg.nl/mailman/listinfo/ntg-context
[NTG-context] Debian Install
I followed the instructions on: http://wiki.contextgarden.net/TeTeX_3.0_installation. I even purged out the old tetex packages before doing the apt-get install. Now, upon Checking I get: ===Begin=== jaz:~# texexec --version TeXExec 5.2.4 - ConTeXt / PRAGMA ADE 1997-2005 texexec : TeXExec 5.2.4 - ConTeXt / PRAGMA ADE 1997-2005 texutil : TeXUtil 9.0.0 - ConTeXt / PRAGMA ADE 1992-2004 tex : pdfeTeX, 3.141592-1.21a-2.2 (Web2C 7.5.4) context : ver: 2005.01.31 cont-en : ver: 2005.01.31 fmt: 2005.10.14 mes: english total run time : 2 seconds jaz:~# kpsewhich texmf.cnf /usr/share/texmf/web2c/texmf.cnf jaz:~# kpsewhich context.tex /usr/share/texmf/tex/context/base/context.tex jaz:~# ===End=== My concern is with the results from the kpsewhich command. I'm not getting: /usr/local/teTeX/share/texmf/web2c/texmf.cnf and /usr/local/teTeX/share/texmf-dist/tex/context/base/context.tex respectively. My question: Should I move the file, for example, /usr/share/texmf/web2c/texmf.cnf to /usr/local/teTeX/share/texmf-dist/tex/context/base/context.tex or use a link from one to the other? Or, just leave it alone. My assumption is that the Debian package management system takes care of these things. But, then, this is part of an experimental distribution, so maybe, I'm thinking, I need to fine tune thingsstill.
