[NTG-context] Vendor for Lucida Bright

Many of the Context manuals are set in Lucida-Bright. From what
vendor was this specific font obtained?

It is specific to two typefaces whose typescript files I made in the
same manner: jenson & minion. Other fonts do not act this way, including
palatino and the self-installed haarlemmer (which has a different kind
of typescript file). The typescript file for jenson & minion are based
on one from Adam Lindsey, I believe it was for Warnock Pro. This may be
rather out of date.

[NTG-context] starttextrule different from manual

2006-08-11 Thread Hans van der Meer
The manual says (p.204):\starttextrule[.1.]{.2.}...\stoptextrule.1. top bottom.2. textBut parameter [.1.] is not picked up and the code in core-rul.tex is:\def\starttextrule#1%instead of the expected \def\starttexrule{\dosingleargument\dostarttextrule} etc.Is this a deliberate change from the manual, so that I can cross out the parameter [.1.] there, or something else?Hans van der Meer___

Hmm, in principle you should have already got Índice, at least if you
used \mainlanguage[es].

For chapter, try:  \setuplabeltext[es] [chapter=Capitulo ] % with space.

By the way at http://wiki.contextgarden.net/ one finds several useful tips.

If you don't know them, the Beginner's manual,
http://www.pragma-ade.com/general/manuals/mp-cb-en.pdf , and
"The manual", http://www.pragma-ade.com/general/manuals/cont-enp.pdf ,
are worthwhile to read.

\mainlanguage[es]

\setupheadtext [es] [content=\'Indice]
\setupheadtext [es] [chapter=Capitulo]

or

\setupheadtext
  [es]
  [content=\'Indice,
   chapter=Capitulo]

see lang-ita.tex and grep for !es

you can overload headtexts and labeltexts if needed

[NTG-context] spanish user

2006-08-11 Thread Horacio Suarez

Hello.

I´m new in this list and using Context.

I make books for a small edit shop in Buenos Aires, Argentina specialized in
Antropology.

I used to work with Ventura publisher in windows, then I decided to use
linux/latex, and after a few books using latex, i´m trying to use Context
because I think it´s better.

Anyway, it´s dificult for me.

Now, I need help in this:

In latex, I use this command:

\renewcommand{\contentsname}{Índice}

\renewcommand{\chapter}{Capitulo}

to obtain the names of the parts of the book in spanish. I only need in
spanish Bobliography and Índice (Content).

How can I obtain the same in Context?

Thankyou very mach.

The next version of texfont will create a dvips and dvipdfmx map file
as well as a pdftex one, making life a bit easier.

This is error is because lm-ec.enc does not name its encoding
"ECEncoding " but "enclmec ", so you have to change the ReEncode
strings in the map file.

Thanks a lot, with that it works now (with the texnansi encoding)! These
facts should be mentioned in the docs.

I also have created another map file ec-bgj.map with the entries

ec-raw-bgjb  ElegantGaramondBT-Bold   "ECEncoding ReEncodeFont"  schrift.ps
. [1]

But gv gives an error when I try to view the ps file:

My printer does not print it either. Maybe the reason is that I use
lm-ec.enc, but ECEncoding is defined in EC.enc which is slightly
different.

On my machine the font works without problems with pdftex (texexec --pdf)
and the ec encoding, ligatures and umlauts are okay.
