Are you sure there is not another cache directory created? What happens
 here:

No, there is only one cache directory, and after format creation, the only
cont-en.* files are lua, luc and log.

When I start an application using cscite.bat or a derivative of it,
everything works fine. cscite.bat initializes scite using setuptex.bat (or
 just setuptex under unix).

I'll take a look into setuptex.

[NTG-context] MKIV: format file

2007-08-14 Thread Peter Münster
Hello,

this time I tried justtex.zip and linux64tex.zip. The result is quite
similar to my previous problem report, but the error message is different,
this time I get:

Error in lua file loading:
/tmp/luatex-cache/context/4913490bb74a73b0e92e743f174b9db3/formats/cont-en.luc:

--lua=/tmp/luatex-cache/context/4913490bb74a73b0e92e743f174b9db3/formats/cont-en.luc
 test.tex

This is, what I did:
- unzipping justtex.zip
- unzipping linux64tex.zip
- . ./setuptex
- texexec --make --alone --luatex (or texexec --make --all --luatex)

The last command does not create any cont-en.fmt file.

Any ideas?

Greetings, Peter

What version of the dejavu fonts do you use, exactly? These fonts
are a little rough around the edges as well as being in active

\definefontsynonym [SerifBold][ACaslonProBold][features=default]
\stoptypescript

\starttypescript [acaslonpro]
\definetypeface[acaslonpro][rm][serif][acaslonpro][default]

[NTG-context] PDF TrimBox

2007-08-14 Thread Thomas Telkamp
Hi,

I'm trying to set the PDF TrimBox for every page in the document.

\setupinteractionscreen[trimbox={[81.6378 96.9449 513.6378 744.9449]}]

This indeed sets the TrimBox for every page, but it ignores my
dimensions, and sets them to the page size.

\pdfpageattr{/TrimBox [ 81.6378 96.9449 513.6378 744.9449]}

Only applies to the first page, and \pdfpagesattr uses an inheritance
that Acrobat doesn't understand (is it allowed?).

How can I specify the TrimBox on every page?

thanks,
Thomas

I do not understand what you mean by this. Can you post a sample

  If I run e.g,
  texexec index.docbook

AFAIU XML, having a lone in the file is not valid. You need to
have amp; if you want ampersand. Any other entity (something;)
should be appropriately defined by some style file.

I also tried the various docbook2xxx style utilities but they
all failed to produce meaningful results.

Is it a valid xml file? Is it a valid docbook file? Do the
utilities work with simple sample files.

All I want to do is read the #$% files!

Did you try db2latex? It comes with db2context which handles a
 large subset of docbook specifications.

I will look up db2latex, download it, and try it. But of course I
would prefer a Context solution if possible.

I attach the compressed output of the following command:

The luatex version is 0.10.2 and the command finishes with Segmentation

Perhaps something for the luatex-bug-tracker, Taco?

Not while it only happens to you. The crash has to be reproducible
for a bug tracker item to be useful, I 'm afraid :(

Perhaps it's only reproducible on linux-x86_64?

How can I specify the TrimBox on every page?

you can try

but I'm not sure if this is the best (official) way.

Yes (as Hans and Martin said already). But you really should
 consider switching to outline fonts.

I am looking for a good way to convert these fonts to type1, but

Has anybody ever tried to rewrite metafont to produce type1 fonts?
