Not sure, seems to work for me. Though I do get two TOCs, one for front matter,
one for body matter -- the limit of my knowledge is reached here.

Are you all current and updated?

MkIV \currentheadnumber seems to be 0 all the time.

Since I need customised headings like above in the same document that
also features footnotes in the margin, I'm wedged now. As explained in

, I'm forced to use MkII to get footnote ordering right. On the other
hand, only MkIV produces a complete table of contents when I customise
the headings in that document.

Is there any chance to get one of those bugs fixed or to find a suitable
workaround in either of the two versions of ConTeXt?

Thank you ever so much for any help,

Probably a metapost bug, I'll check.

There were actually two metapost bugs from that single example.
Next week's luatex beta will have a fix for both.

[NTG-context] xits font in ~/.fonts

2010-08-15 Thread Aditya Mahajan

Hi,

I cannot use xits fonts if they are placed in $HOME/.fonts.

For example, if I use

\setupbodyfont[xits]

I get a series of messages

define fonts forced type otf of xits-regular not found
define fonts font with name xits-regular is not found
define fonts unknown font xits-regular, loading aborted
define fonts unable to define xits-regular.otf as \*xits11ptrmtfc*

I also tried to use the fonts with simplefonts.

\usemodule[simplefonts]
\setmainfont[XITS]
\setmathfont[XITS Math]

falls back to LM math while

\usemodule[simplefonts]
\setmainfont[XITS]
\setmathfont[XITS]

gives XITS-Regular as the math font (and not XITS-Math).

Other fonts in $HOME/.fonts, in particular cambria, work with both
methods.

\setupbodyfont[cambria]

and

\usemodule[simplefonts]
\setmainfont[Cambria]
\setmathfont[Cambria]

both work.

[NTG-context] [PATCH] small corrections for the ConTeXt-correspondence manual

2010-08-15 Thread Paul Menzel
Dear ConTeXt folks,

this is my first post and I am looking forward to get more acquainted
with ConTeXt.

I read the ConTeXt-correspondence manual (module letter [1]) and
attached you will find some formal fixes for the source files gotten
from [2]. If I should sent each patch as a separate message, please tell
me.

I was not able to get a PDF created with my Debian Sid/unstable system,
so I could not test my changes.

$ texexec correspondence.tex
[…]
! Undefined control sequence.
l.139 \doifolderversionelse

\contextversion{\currentmoduleparameter\c!context...

I hope this is the right way to contact the authors and to submit the
patches. If not, please tell me the preferred way.

As a last remark, I would really love to see the sources and
documentation of modules under SCM so contributing would be easier.
There are some free services for free software projects as for example
Gitorious [3].

Thanks,

Paul

Ugly workaround:

\def\prefix{Vgl. \strut} % or \null

But I have no idea what's happening here, maybe Hans or
Taco can come up with a real solution.
\cite[alternative=data] seems to eat any horizontal space

It probably does an \unskip to get rid of bad vertical space in
