[NTG-context] bib module cripples authors?
Hi,
an other issue with bib: already at the stage of running bibtex three or more
authors are shortened.
See an easy example:

The referenced mytry_x.bib looks like this:

Sometimes the info is very long. Now it is displayed in one long line that
scrolls off the screen. How can I change this. Ideally would be if I could
give in the macro call where a new line should start, but just automatically
formatted would be good enough.

Hi, The date printed with the \date command is not correct in french (but ok in english). See this example : \mainlanguage[fr] \starttext \date \stoptext It prints 44 juillet 2011 (today). Without \mainlanguage[fr], it’s prints July 4, 2011 (as expected). I have ConTeXt - 2011.06.29 09:57 and LuaTeX-0.70.1. It’s not a bug but a language dependent format of the string, you can change it
with
\setuplanguage[de][date={...}]
where the date key takes the same arguments as the \date command.

This is *not* a minimal working example, neither it’s minimal nor it’s working.
You can fix this by replacing the \\ with \crlf to add a linebreak in the
entries:

The situation is the following:
in a function which runs over the months of the year at a certain moment I need
to insert at the ConTeXt side the monthname. However the monthname returned by
the following statement is all lowercase, which is ok for the translation of
the labeltext. In the document however I need the labeltext in with a starting
uppercase letter. The question is therefor how to achieve this uppercase first

hm, did not know this one. Still I can not see that this is going to fit in my
situation. I refer to may other mail I sent a minute ago. - The thing is, that
the document I am building should be multilingual and therefore I need at the
lua-end the lowercase text which should be made first-letter-uppercase at the
moment it is typeset.

Could it be that in xml-processing apos; and friends are dead? Where formerly these were treated correctly, now from apos; there results apos. I seem to remember that this was an earlier problem, solved in the meantime and now popping up again. Indeed, some quirk in the searchpath of my BBEdit editor, I found out. Got it
now.
But there stays the question why the stand ---: patterns of XML are not
standard set in the ConTeXt source.
I compared the two sources. The newer, not working version has:
char-ent.lua, line 694: [apos] = ', -- U+00027
Is it possible this (I see char-ent.lua being added) has ruined the previous
behaviour?

I just discovered that it was not fixed for my Windows-Minimals (ConTeXt ver:
2011.06.18 14:13 MKIV).
Adding the above line makes it work. This is fixed with my Ubuntu-Minimals. I'm
confused. Did I miss something in the update-process?

I tried some different dates and the number is indeed typed twice every time in
french. I think this problem appears recently because it was not the case with
ConTeXt - 2011.05.18 22:26 LuaTeX-0.70.1.
I still think it’s a bug because it’s not expected to have the day number
typed twice when one call \date (in lang-def.mkiv, the date format is
declared as \c!date={\v!day+,\v!space,\v!month,\v!space,\v!year for french).
core-con.lua:

In the newer source one finds lxml-tab.lua:

[NTG-context] Would Multiple Processes Cause: luatex: execution interrupted
I run context in a task queue with four worker processes. It is possible that context is invoked simultaneously to process distinct input files by tasks running in separate worker processes. I see periodic fatal errors, as follows: mtx-context | fatal error: no return code, message: luatex: execution interrupted However, the same input files can be processed by context directly without errors. Is it possible that context running in simultaneous but separate processes conflict? Because context calls luatex in a subprocess, it can be problematic to find the actual cause, unfortunately. However, the same input files can be processed by context directly without errors.
