Re: [NTG-context] meaning of error message?

I have been experimenting with tagging. But my attempts with two files
now have generated this sort of error message:

lua error > lua error on line 62 in file c_Int-A002_Acerbi.tex:

.../ConTeXt/tex/texmf-context/tex/context/base/strc-tag.lua:407: bad
argument #2 to 'lpegmatch' (string expected, got boolean)

stack traceback:

[C]: in function 'lpegmatch'

.../ConTeXt/tex/texmf-context/tex/context/base/strc-tag.lua:407: in
function 'strippedtag'

.../ConTeXt/tex/texmf-context/tex/context/base/back-exp.lua:740: in
function <.../ConTeXt/tex/texmf-context/tex/context/base/back-exp.lua:739>

(...tail calls...)

Could someone tell me what this means—is there are error in my
encoding or a problem in lua?
What’s the content of line 62 (plus a few lines before/after) in your
file c_Int_A002_Acerbi.tex?

Re: [NTG-context] Question on headings and text around them

2015-11-24 Thread josephcanedo
Hans,

Thanks for replying, Actually I realise the problem is with column break (was a
bit late when I wrote my message, sorry for this).

I prepared a small example + output I get.

I am not saying the output is necessarly bad, but I’d like to know how to avoid
the paragraph being broken and the 4 empty lines in the first column (at least
in the example), or know what I am doing wrong. It looks like there is some
setting “attaching” the last 2 lines of paragraph to the next section heading.

Thanks

Best regards

Joseph

you need to make a (minimal) example that shows the issue

Sorry, but this is a standard practice that doesn’t seem to be
documented in the wiki. At least, I wasn’t able to find information
about this issue.

I don't know where this code comes from, but it does what you want:

\definestartstop
  [exdent]
  [before={\startnarrower[left]\setupindenting[-\leftskip,yes]},
   after=\stopnarrower]

[NTG-context] inverse indentation

2015-11-24 Thread Pablo Rodriguez
Dear list,

I have the following sample:

\setupindenting[always,yes,big]
\startsetups[bibliography:indent]
\setupindenting[negative]
\stopsetups
\definehead[Bibliography][subject]
\setuphead[Bibliography]
 [setups=bibliography:indent,
 indentnext=yes]

\starttext
\startBibliography[reference=ref,title=Bibliography]
\reference[ref-Frankfurt:1971fk]{}%
Frankfurt, Harry. 1971. “Freedom of the Will and the Concept of a
Person.” {\em Journal of Philosophy}.
\stopBibliography
\stoptext

How can I define indenting in startsetups so that Bibliography has the
same margin that the indentation for the rest of the text and
indentation in that section is negative (the same amount as the general
indentation)?

Sorry, but this is a standard practice that doesn’t seem to be
documented in the wiki. At least, I wasn’t able to find information
about this issue.

Many thanks for your help,

Pablo

[NTG-context] Problems with alignchar and width=broad

2015-11-24 Thread Ben Morrow
Hi,

[I'm not subscribed to the list, so I would appreciate it if people
could keep me in the CC.]

Recent versions of ConTeXt seem to have developed a problem with TABLE,
where aligncharacter=yes and width=broad won't work together. This
document demonstrates:

\starttext
\bTABLE[width=\textwidth]
\setupTABLE[c][1][width=broad]
\setupTABLE[c][2][width=fit]
\setupTABLE[c][3][width=fit,aligncharacter=yes]

\bTR\bTD xxx \eTD\bTD 10 hrs @ 30 \eTD\bTD 300.00 \eTD\eTR
\bTR\bTD[nc=2]\eTD\bTD 300.00 \eTD\eTR
%\bTR\bTD\eTD\bTD\eTD\bTD 300.00 \eTD\eTR

\eTABLE
\stoptext

Like that, with a row with [nc=2], the first two columns are typeset
directly on top of each other. If that line is replaced with the
commented line underneath it, the overlap goes away, but the table is
much wider than it should be and runs off the edge of the page. In both
cases, the problem can be removed either by removing the
[aligncharacter=yes] or by replacing [width=broad] with [width=fit].

This is with the TeXLive15 version of context, 2015.05.18 12:26. I have
also reproduced it with live.contextgarden.net, which I think is the
same version. The problem did not occur with the TeXLive14 version,
which was 2014.05.21 22:04.

Ben

Re: [NTG-context] Question on headings and text around them

there are 2 lines in new page), even if there is space in the previous
page for the 2 lines (there are even 3 blank lines at the end of the page).

Apparently I could solve this “problem”, adding some 0 penalty:

\definevspacing[BeforeHeading][penalty:0]

\def\BeforeBook{\blank[BeforeHeading, line]} % was
\def\BeforeBook{\blank[line]} which seems to avoid breaking page between
text before heading and heading itself

\setuphead[section][before=\BeforeBook]

My question is simply, is that a correct way to fix the problem, or is
that just “luck” this fixes the issue ?
