Re: [NTG-context] ntg-context Digest, Vol 90, Issue 67

2011-12-22 Thread Philip Brown
Thank you, Luigi. I see that Context runs from the command line. The problem is
that it does not run from emacs context-mode. How can I fix this?

Save this line
\starttext\input knuth\stoptext
into test.tex

and then check mkiv with
$> context test.tex

and mkii with
$> mtxrun texexec test.tex

[NTG-context] Context from Texlive

2011-12-14 Thread Philip Brown
I downloaded texlive on Windows from the the July 2011 Tex Collection dvd.

Latex works fine, but I get the following error message when I try to run
Context:

ConTeXt: problems after [0] pages

Is there some sort of postcompilation I need to do to get Context running?

Regards,

Philip Brown

[NTG-context] context installation on Windows XP

2009-07-06 Thread Philip Brown
I am having touble installling CONTEX (and metafun) on Windows XP. I downloaded
and installed Texlive. I am able to run Latex and some other programs, but I
tried various ways, unsuccesfully, to run context. For example I tried running
texmfstart texexec.rb hello.tex
and some other combinations, and nothing happened.

I went to the PRAGMA-ADE website and downoaded cont-tmf into the texmf-local
directory and unzipped it. Then I tried
texexec -make -all
and a few other combinatins and nothing happened.

I have Perl v5.10 installed, and I use editor EMACS with AUCTEX

assistance would be much appreciated,
