[NTG-context] Is t-vim still available in LMTX?

2019-04-08 Thread seasoul
Dear List,

I just installed LMTX and start to use. I found t-vim is not installed even
I use "modules = all”. So is t-vim still supported and could be used as
usual? Or there is the plan to develop a core function to pretty printing?

Thank you, Marco.

Although I do not know how to borrow your code, I will continue to try. If
not successful I will just modify your module a little bit instead of using
the code in simpleslides module.

  My intention is to use some function like the block environment in

 Some time ago I wrote custom presentation module¹ which implemented
 those kind of blocks. I intended to expand it and make it a more
 generic module, but I never did. Maybe it's helpful to you and you
 can borrow some ideas or concepts.

 I just run a recent context version on the code and noticed that the
 block placement is broken. When I find some time the next days I'll
 look into that.

Re: [NTG-context] How to sort the reference by the cite sequence

2011-03-31 Thread seasoul
I figured out. I tried many times with different commands. I think if I
cannot get the solution, I will switch to author-year method. Luckily, I
found the solution.

Previously, I am using \placepublications[[criterium=all], because that is a
compromise solution to list the publications in an individual chapter, which
is suggested by many people in the ntg-context. This time, I tried
\placepublications[criterium=cite]. Not surpringsly, an empty list appears
as before. Then I tried \placepublications[criterium=text], hmm, it works.
Only those cited in the text were listed and in a citing sequence.

Dear All,

 I am setting up the synonym list. I defined it as nomenclature

\definesynonyms[nomenclature][nomenclatures][\infull]

\setupsynonyms[nomenclature] [criterium=all,location=serried]

when i type in someting like

\nomenclature{A} {Area}

it works.

But if I type

\nomenclature{$\alpha$}{Angle of something}

it fails. The reason may be only text could be used. I found the list is
sorted alphabetically. Then if I type a greek letter, the compiler does not
konw how to sort it.

Re: [NTG-context] Which way to type greek letters in synonym list?

Thanks to Andreas and Wolfgang,

  That's true. The uppercase letter works, the lowercase method
complains.

  Try \nomenclature[alpha]{$\alpha$}{...}

 This will fail because to create a macro \alpha which expands to \alpha ...

 Use uppercase letter to prevent this, when your font contains greek you can
 also use a text alpha, e.g.

 \abbreviation[ALPHA]{α}{Angle of something}
 \setupbodyfont[termes]
 \starttext
 \ALPHA
 \stoptext

Re: [NTG-context] One more (?) bib problem

2010-12-03 Thread seasoul
\placepublications[criterium=all]

this will place all the references. If only cited publications are in need,
use
\setuppublications[criterium=cite]

I also experimented on this for a long time, then i found this solution from
one of Aditya's posts.
It works to me now. Hans is in the process to develop a new bib module, I am
waiting the new powerful version :).

 Hi all,

 A small variation on the bib test file from the wiki:

 \section{section two}
 \cite[authoryear][Eijkhout1991]
 \placepublications[criterium=cite]

 Unfortunately, placepublications only takes into account the refs of the
 section where it is located, it seems weird to me. Sorry if this has been
 already reported.

[NTG-context] Figure and equation numbers only include chapter number

2010-12-02 Thread seasoul
Dear All,

   After my updating context minimal, the equation and figure numbers became
very weird.

For example, all the figures in chapter 2 labeled as figure 2. all the
equations in chapter 2 as (2.).

I have seen a report in the mailing list also mentioning a similar problem.

[NTG-context] Three column nomenclature settings?

2010-12-01 Thread seasoul
Nomenclature can be considered as a type of synonyms.

Therefore, I can define a nomenclature as :

\definesynonyms[nomenclature][nomenclatures][\infull]

\setupsynonyms[nomenclature] [criterium=all,location=serried]

here I use location=serried, becasue I found the synonym is not in the same
line ( higher than) the meaning.

But I want a three-column nomenclature list. The first column is the
synonym, the second is the meaning, the third is the si-unit of it, if the
synonym has an unit. Like

--

p Pressure of xxx  Pa

l  Length of xxx  m

---

How to redefine the nomenclature command?

Re: [NTG-context] line justification alignment.

2010-10-23 Thread seasoul
Yes, when he was talking about there must be two spaces after a period, and
there is strictly no hyphenation at the end of lines, I was almost driven
crazy: How can you set such a rule as in a typewritter period? Of course, I
did not speak out.

I use the setting, that works. Then the line became ugly, the length of
lines are irregular. Is it possible to fine-tune it.

Thanks to Hans,Peter,Alan,Aditya,

 It really helps. I combined your ideas together, the final result
is perfect.
 \setupalign[verytolerant,stretch,hanging,highquility,nothyphenated]

I did not try many combinations, but withouth verytoleratnt and stretch, the
result is not as good as all of them included.
Hope this thread will help those who work with annoying boss :).

 Perhaps enabling character protrusion and expansion will help a little.

 \setupalign[hanging, highquality]

[NTG-context] How to set the caption length?

2010-10-15 Thread seasoul
When a figure is placed, but this figure size is much smaller than the
textwidth, the caption length will adjust after the figure size.

\placefigure

[][fig:xxx]

{}

{\externalfigure[xxx]}

when set the figure size to an arbitrary size, the caption length will also
change. But what I expect is, i change the figure size, but the caption size
is always the textwith, or i can set it arbitrarily, for example 90% of the
text size.

I know it should be very easy, but honestly, i do not know.

[NTG-context] Any syntax highlighter for C++ MKIV?

2010-02-04 Thread seasoul
The verbatim function in MKIV is really powerful, and pretty printing of
progamming language is easy. But unfortuantely, I do not know how to modify
the php, or lua pretty printing formatter to what I want --- C++ formatter.
After laboriously searching, I failed to find any working formatter. Is this
really really easy, nobody wants to post it? Or there is no person in need
of such a formatter, but only me?

I tried vim highlighting module in the wiki, but it always complains cannot
find xxx-vimsyntax.tmp and something, in both windows and unbuntu. I know
it is something about mtxrun curruent version. But I still cannot fix it
after I did following the posts in this mailing list.
