[NTG-context] texfont problem on windows
I'm using the minimal windows installation of ConTeXt, texsync'ed today. The vptovf.exe program as used by the texfont script seems to have a version mismatch. It throws an error saying that it can't find tl80kpse.dll. In fact the version in the minimal tree is tl90kpse.dll. This means that texfont can't install new fonts, since no virtual font files are created. I'm sure I can work around this either by updating my local vptovf.exe or finding the relevant dll on the web somewhere, but it should probably be fixed in the tree if possible. Thanks! Thanks for your help. Yes, that was the problem. So I uninstalled TeXLive from: C:\Program Files\TeXLive And reinstalled at: C:\TeXLive Then I ran TeXFont and it worked correctly. [NTG-context] TeXFont Problem
Hi, I'm a TeX/ConTeXt beginner and I'm having trouble installing a new font. I just purchased Sabon from Adobe and I'm following the installation instructions at http://home.salamander.com/~wmcclain/context-help.html. The problem is that when I run TeXFont it just copies the AFM and PFB files into the directory tree at C:\Program Files\TeXLive\texmf-local\fonts. (I'm using TeXLive distribution for Win32.) However, for some reason it does not generate the TFM and VF files. I searched the archives of this list and notice that this problem was raised by chabah5 at hotmail.com on Thu Aug 12 13:21:56 2004, but got no answer. Can anyone help me? I've got TeXFont version 2.2.1. and I run the folowing command from the directory where the downloaded font files reside: texfont --vendor=adobe --collection=sabon --makepath --install The output I get is appended below. mktexlsr: c:/Program is not a directory. Skipping... I can't comment on font installation, but I think you should be careful with the space in Program Files. It looks like mktexlsr is having trouble with it. For that reason, I usually keep my TeX tree under C:\tex or something like that.
