[nycwireless] Newbie Question Custom Pebble Linux
Hi All, we got contracted by a company that purchased some Hopling Mark II (www.hopling.com), - basically the same as Metrix (http://metrix.net/metrix/products/packages) - Unfortunately we have very little wireless experience and the company Hobling won't even answer a mail within 10 days, they dont't provide manuals or mailinglists. As this system is based on Pebble Linux I hope this is the best list to ask for some hints. The MarkII (should) work on two frequencies: wlan0 IEEE 802.11b ESSID:"Hopling Technologies" Nickname:"Hopling 10.0.2.1" Mode:Master Frequency:2.462GHz Access Point: 00:02:6F:33:63:E4 Bit Rate:11Mb/s Sensitivity=1/3 Retry min limit:8 RTS thr:off Fragment thr:off Encryption key:off Power Management:off Link Quality:0 Signal level:0 Noise level:0 Rx invalid nwid:0 Rx invalid crypt:0 Rx invalid frag:0 Tx excessive retries:15 Invalid misc:159559 Missed beacon:0 ath0 IEEE 802.11a ESSID:"Hopling Technologies" Nickname:"Hopling 10.0.4.2" Mode:Ad-Hoc Frequency:5.18GHz Cell: 00:00:00:00:00:00 Bit Rate:0kb/s Tx-Power:off Sensitivity=0/3 Retry:off RTS thr:off Fragment thr:off Encryption key:off Power Management:off Link Quality:0/94 Signal level:-95 dBm Noise level:-95 dBm Rx invalid nwid:0 Rx invalid crypt:0 Rx invalid frag:0 Tx excessive retries:0 Invalid misc:0 Missed beacon:0 So far in my opinion everything looks fine, correct me if I'm wrong. RE: [nycwireless] Wi-Fi Meets 1930s Radio?
Now THAT is cool! The Community Media Platform (http://cmp.pursuethepulse.org/) sounds like a great idea. It'd be great if they could establish some usability for people wanting to submit music to a central jukebox (view group playlist, upload personal song, vote on submitted songs, etc.). Great link!
