2023-10-28 Thread Andrew Block
No sign of the immature Purple Gallinule as of 1130am that was seen earlier in
the week at the north end of Rockland Lake S.P.  There were some American
Coots, a Pied-billed Grebe, a Ruddy Duck, a few Palm Warblers, and a few Swamp
Sparrows.

[nysbirds-l] Harris’s Sparrow, Hot Dog Beach, Suffolk County

2023-10-28 Thread Timothy Healy
A Harris’s Sparrow is currently being seen at Hot Dog Beach on Dune Road in
Quogue, Suffolk County, found by Mike Cooper. It is presently foraging in the
grass along the brushy edges of the lot at the southeast corner with a mixed
flock of sparrows.
