[nysbirds-l] Black-necked Stilt, NYC 5/4

2014-05-05 Thread Thomas Fiore
Sunday eve., 4 May, 2014 - Staten Island, N.Y. City

Just learned of this... a Black-necked Stilt was found & then seen by
at least 3 observers on Staten Island's north side, at the Goethal's
Bridge Pond area; a report apparently sent out just after 8 p.m. [?]
and the Stilt apparently "best seen from Trailer Park Row A". The
finder is Richard Veit. Should the stilt be seen again this morning,
word will go out again; perhaps first via the SINaturalist group-list.

(odds on this being the Prospect Park bird of the other day? or are
there a number of these north of typical range now...?0

good birding,

Tom Fiore
Manhattan
