[nysbirds-l] Orange County Pink-Footed Goose -- NO
I had no luck relocating the pink-footed goose today despite investing five hours meticulously searching every potentially suitable grassy area multiple times within a several mile radius of where the goose had originally been found/refound. I managed to find ~50 Canadas on the local fairgrounds several miles away (Great spot to check) but no luck there, either; they refused to surrender intelligence regarding their visiting cousin's location to me even for just a moment's viewing. Around 3PM, six Canada geese landed on the large lawn near Orange County Trust Bank where the goose had been seen previously but flew off after only a few minutes of grazing. Oh well, hopefully the goose is still around and someone refinds it. Good birding!
