[nysbirds-l] Peregrine Falcon Fledglings - Midtown Manhattan

2014-07-04 Thread Ben Cacace
Yesterday I saw four Peregrines flying as a group over the Met Life
Building as seen from the west edge of the Great Lawn near the southern
steps.

If two of the birds were adults this would mean there are at least two
young Peregrines.

The Peregrine nest box is on the south side closer to the west edge of the
Met Life Building, above Grand Central Terminal in midtown, and was
attended to by the adults over the summer and the territory was held over
the winter. This is a long established nesting site for this species.
