Max count of Purple Finches seen together at feeders at Pruyn Audubon Sanctuary in Chappaqua, Westchester County this afternoon was 43, with 9 full-color males among the crowd. Largest flock seen together here in 20+ years. Related but elsewhere observation was a lone Pine Siskin seen flying S over Hook Mountain, Rockland County this past Wednesday morning.
