[nysbirds-l] Whip-poor-will etc, Central Park Ramble 9/15
The Whip-poor-will is still present, again sleeping on the same branch of the same tree at the top of the path along the stream, up from the west side of Evodia towards maintenance. The dappled sunlight is quite lovely on him this morning. Various warblers on my brief walk through the Ramble this morning: Black-Throated Blue, Black-and-White, and Parula just north of Laupot Bridge; Common Yellowthroat everywhere. Also a Brown Thrasher at the willow on the east side of the Upper Lobe, and the immature Black-Crowned Night Heron on the west side. -Ed Gaillard Manhattan -- NYSbirds-L List Info: http://www.NortheastBirding.com/NYSbirdsWELCOME http://www.NortheastBirding.com/NYSbirdsRULES http://www.NortheastBirding.com/NYSbirdsSubscribeConfigurationLeave.htm ARCHIVES: 1) http://www.mail-archive.com/nysbirds-l@cornell.edu/maillist.html 2) http://www.surfbirds.com/birdingmail/Group/NYSBirds-L 3) http://birdingonthe.net/mailinglists/NYSB.html Please submit your observations to eBird: http://ebird.org/content/ebird/ --
