[nysbirds-l] Yonkers Raven
New York Birders, On 8/4, at 8:23AM, I observed a RAVEN on the ground in the Yonkers Raceway lot, off Yonkers Ave. I've been doing a Westchester route (I drive a truck) for the past two weeks and this is the first one I've observed. I suppose it could be from Co-op City (do they continue to breed there?) or even Bergen County, NJ? I don't know much about their occurrence in NYC and the surrounding urban jungles, on this side of the river. I wish I had time to see if the Fish Crows that nest in the light stations gave it a proper escort...
