After picking up Ben's post, I ended up leaving Long Island to look for the BAGO at Van Cortlandt Park in the Bronx. When I got there, the parade ground fields were teeming with runners but no geese.
A search of the Van Cortlandt Lake turned up loads of Canada's with some Lessers in the flock but no Barnacle. Note: Pelham Bay Park, specifically the Orchard Beach Area remains closed indefinitely.
