[nysbirds-l] Tundra Swans in Queens

2014-11-06 Thread Corey Finger
Don Riepe discovered a flock of 32 Tundra Swans from his home in Broad Channel.
They are visible looking south from the breach on the west pond at Jamaica Bay.
Also, they are drifting closer and closer to Brooklyn waters.

Good Birding,
Corey Finger

At least for now. As if on cue, moments after Corey's post, they all just
picked up and flew off heading south. Heads up in Brooklyn??

Good find by Don and good relay by Lisa Scheppke (sp) to Eric Miller who
called me.

Who knows, perhaps if we had a fixed West Pond, they might have settled in
for the night.
