If you head over to http://www.panniers.com/ you'll reach the website
of Arkel OverDesigns which is a Canadian Company based out of
Lennoxville, Quebec.
I use one of their briefcase panniers for transporting my laptop
to/from the office. I picked mine up at Fresh Air on Wellington about a
year ago. If you're going to buy one, I would also recommend the rain
cover accessory. If you can't get out to Fresh Air, you can also order
oneline at Velotique http://www.velotique.com/konnix.htm for $150.
That's about what Fresh Air charges.
F.Y.I. The on-line ordering on the Arkel website is only for Americans.
Even though Arkel is Canadian, they do not sell directly to Canadians.
They want to keep up their distributors in Canada. I've dealt with them
personally and have had great response from them.
Ortleib also makes a briefcase pannier, but I haven't been able to
track one down in Ottawa. http://www.ortlieb.de/mainframe_e.htm From
there, you can track down a distributor in B.C. which looks like they
now do mail order.
