China's shares tumbled the most in 10 years on concern the Chinese government may introduce measures to cool the stock markets as the National People's Congress meets next week. China Vanke Co., the nation's biggest property developer, and China United Telecommunications Corp., which controls the country's second-largest mobile-phone operator, both plunged by the 10 percent daily limit. ``China stocks are under attack because investors are cautious ahead of the NPC,'' said Kenny Tang, associate director of research at Tung Tai Securities Co. in Hong Kong. ``They are concerned that China will consider the stock market to be overheated and do something to cool it down.'' China Mobile Ltd. led Hong Kong's Hang Seng Index 1.8 percent lower on concern spending on a high-speed wireless network will exceed investors' expectations. Sumitomo Mitsui Financial Group Inc. dropped on speculation a rate increase by the Bank of Japan last week won't be enough to boost profits. The Morgan Stanley Capital International Asia-Pacific Index lost 0.3 percent to 148.10 as of 6:07 p.m. in Tokyo. It closed at a record 148.51 yesterday. Its relative strength index, based on a 14-day moving average, rose to 74.9yesterday, above the 70 threshold some investors use as a trigger to sell shares. China's Shanghai and Shenzhen 300 Index slumped 9.2 percent from a record high. It had jumped 13 percent in the past six sessions. The Shanghai Composite Index, which tracks the bigger of China's stock exchanges, plunged 8.8 percent, the most since Feb. 18, 1997. Japan's Nikkei 225 Stock Average lost 0.5 percent. Benchmarks in Australia and South Korea dropped from all-time highs. All other markets fell, except in Taiwan which was little changed. Further Measures? China Vanke lost 1.58 yuan to 14.26. United Telecommunications declined 0.54yuan to 4.89. Baoshan Iron Steel Co., China's biggest steelmaker, slid 10 percent to 9.03 yuan. Citic Securities Co., China's biggest brokerage, dropped 9.7percent to 36.21 yuan, its biggest drop since Jan. 17. Investors are concerned China may introduce further austerity measures around the time government leaders meet for a meeting of the NPC, China's legislature, which starts March 5. The Chinese government said this week the State Council had approved a special task force to clamp down on illegal share offerings and other banned activities in the stock markets. Last month, China's benchmark tumbled 11 percent in four days after Cheng Siwei, vice chairman of the NPC, said shares were overvalued. The Shenzhen and Shanghai index has gained 135 percent in the past 12 months. `Nervous About Gains' ``The market's very sensitive as it's been trading at record levels and some stocks are considered overvalued,'' said Fan Dizhao, who helps manage the equivalent of $1.8 billion with Guotai Asset Management Co. in Shanghai. ``Investors are nervous about recent rapid gains and are not convinced further share-price increases can be sustained.'' Mitsubishi Estate Co., Japan's No. 2 property developer, slid 3.1 percent to 3,790 yen. The shares climbed 27 percent this year to yesterday's close and reached a record of 4,000 yen on Feb. 23. Westfield Group, the world's biggest owner of shopping malls, slid 2.2percent to A$22.26. The shares have gained 6 percent this year, compared with a 2.5 percent gain in the SP/ASX 200 Property Trust Index. Westfield said today that second-half operating profit gained 7.6 percent. `Overvaluation' BlueScope Steel Ltd., Australia's biggest steelmaker, dropped 1.5 percent to A$9.70. Brokerages including Citigroup Inc. and JPMorgan Chase Co. cut their recommendations on the stock, citing valuation concerns. BlueScope shares have gained 13 percent this year. ``There are signs of overvaluation in the market,'' said Paul Xiradis, who helps manage $6.9 billion at Ausbil Dexia Ltd. in Sydney. ``Certainly you're seeing brokers coming out and downgrading the likes of BlueScope, and the property sector including Westfield has been at full value for some time.'' Fungsi Bombing Order untuk menakut-nakuti lawan agar tidak jadi nge-bid atau tidak jadi nge-offer, maksudnya agar harga masih bisa di arahkan. Fungsi bisa juga untuk tansaksi memidahkan saham antara broker, jika ada transaksi dari broker yg tidak di tuju,transaksi bisa langsung di cancel dengan tingkat kerugian 4 sampai 10 lot. Fungsi lain yg paling busuk sekali adalah membuat market rusuh untuk keuntungan pribadi. Saya lihat seharusnya ada tail bawah yg cukup panjang di index, dikarenakan bombing order ini index tidak jadi membentuk tail bawah yg panjang. Mungkin ada yg ingin merusak pergerakan saham, saya setuju kalo Internal BEJ melakukan antisipasi cepat terhadap hal ini. bisa jadi sangat merugikan pergerakan di kemudian hari. Tips: bagi Trader yg ingin melakukan Bombing Order silahkan pelajari program kecil yg simple, program ini misa meng-copy pengiriman perintah dan di kirim lagi dari client ke server secara ber ulang2 dengan hitungan millisecond. Economists: Recession Unlikely in 2007 Tuesday February 27, 4:56 pm ET By Jeannine Aversa, AP Economics Writer Economists Say U.S. Recession Unlikely This Year Despite Warnings From Greenspan WASHINGTON (AP) -- Alan Greenspan and the Wall Street nosedive aside, economists think the probability of a U.S. recession this year is fairly low and the likelihood of one in China is even slimmer. Greenspan, the former chairman of the Federal Reserve, warned this week that the world's largest economy -- the United States -- could slip into recession this year. That would be bad news for the global economy, too. However, many economists put the probability of a recession at about one in five. The biggest risk to the five-year-old U.S. economic expansion is that the housing slump might take an unexpected turn for the worse, analysts say. In one dire scenario, not only would consumers and businesses clamp down on spending and investing, but troubles could spread to lenders dealing in risky mortgages, triggering a financial crisis. The latest U.S. economic barometers released Tuesday were mostly good, but they failed to ease investors' anxiety. The Dow Jones Industrials closed down more than 400 points. At one point during the day, the slide approached 550. The National Association of Realtors reported that sales of previously owned homes -- the biggest chunk of the housing market -- rose by 3 percent in January from the previous month. That was the largest gain in two years. While the sales boost was helped out by last month's unusually warm weather, it still raised hopes that the worst of the residential real-estate bust may be over. Even if that turns out to be the case, the pain of the housing slump will continue to be felt this year because the inventory of unsold homes is still bloated. That will take time to fix and may drag down home prices even more. The nationwide median price of an existing home sold in January sank to $210,600, a drop of 3.1 percent from last year and the third-largest annual decline on record. The median price is where half sell for more and half for less. So far, consumers -- the lifeblood of the economy -- have been spending sufficiently to keep the economy moving ahead. The worry, though, is that people who had treated their homes like ATMs -- when values were soaring through the five-year housing boom that ended in 2005 -- will cut back on their spending as home prices in some markets drop or go up only a little. Before Tuesday's huge stock market drop, consumers seemed in buoyant spirits. Consumer confidence zoomed to a 5 1/2-year high in February with people feeling better about current economic conditions as well as the jobs climate. The Conference Board's index climbed to 112.5 from 110.2 in January. That should bode well for the national economy because if consumers are feeling optimistic they may be more inclined to spend. A third report, also released Tuesday, underscored the struggles of the nation's manufacturers, who have been feeling the strain from the ailing housing and automotive sectors as well as intense foreign competition. Orders for big-ticket manufactured goods plunged 7.8 percent in January, the largest decline since October, the Commerce Department said. Economic growth for the final quarter of 2006 is expected to be downgraded on Wednesday to a subpar 2.3 percent pace from the solid 3.5 percent rate initially estimated a month ago. GDP measures the value of all goods and services produced in the United States and is the best barometer of the nation's economic fitness. For all of this year, the National Association for Business Economics, or NABE, is predicting the economy to slow to 2.8 percent, down from 3.4 percent in 2006. The Bush administration thinks growth will slow to 2.9 percent, while the Federal Reserve estimates somewhere between 2.5 percent and 3 percent. The housing slump is expected to be the main culprit. Next year, though, economic growth would pick up to the 3 percent range. The International Monetary Fund, in projections last fall, said the world economy should hold up well in the face of a slowing U.S. economy and should grow by a solid 4.9 percent this year. China's economy logged blistering growth of 10.7 percent last year -- the most since 1995. It is expected to slow somewhat to 9.8 percent this year, according to the country's central bank. Brian Bethune, economist at Global Insight, predicted China's growth would have to slow much more -- to around 6 percent or less -- to precipitate major economic turmoil. It would take a major slowdown to upset the Chinese applecart, he said. Economists put the odds of a U.S recession this year at about one in five. It is very rare that business cycles die of old age. Dow Drops 416 on Global Market Plunge Tuesday February 27, 4:51 pm ET By Madlen Read, AP Business Writer Dow Finishes Down 416 at 12,216, Nasdaq Finishes Down 97 at 2,408 on Global Market Plunge NEW YORK (AP) -- Stocks had their worst day of trading since the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks Tuesday, briefly hurtling the Dow Jones industrials down more than 500 points on a worldwide tide of concern that the U.S. and Chinese economies are stumbling and that share prices have become overinflated. The steepness of the market's drop, as well as its global breadth, signaled a possible correction after a long period of stable and steadily rising stock markets, which had not been shaken by such a volatile day of trading in several years. A 9 percent slide in Chinese stocks, which came a day after investors sent Shanghai's benchmark index to a record high close, set the tone for U.S. trading. The Dow began the day falling sharply, and the decline accelerated throughout the course of the session before stocks took a huge plunge in late afternoon as computer-driven sell programs kicked in. The Dow fell 546.02, or 4.3 percent, to 12,086.06 before recovering some ground in the last hour of trading to close down 416.02, or 3.29 percent, at 12,216.24, according to preliminary calculations. Because the worst of the plunge took place after 2:30 p.m., the New York Stock Exchange's trading limits, designed to halt such precipitous moves, were not activated. The decline was the Dow's worst since Sept. 17, 2001, the first trading day after the terror attacks, when the blue chips closed down 684.81, or 7.13 percent. The drop hit every sector of stocks across the market. Riskier issues such as small-cap and technology stocks suffered the biggest declines. But analysts who have been expecting a pullback after a huge rally that began last October and sent the Dow to a series of record highs, were unfazed by Tuesday's drop. This corrective consolidation phase isn't just going to be one day, but we don't believe this is going to be a bear market, said Bob Doll, BlackRock's global chief investment officer of equities. Some investors also tried to put Tuesday's slide into a longer-term perspective. All who invest should feel grateful that we've had a great run for the last 12 to 18 months, said Joel Kleinman, a Washington, D.C. attorney, adding that he has learned to not read too much into any short-term ups and downs. This is another day in the market. Still, traders' dwindling confidence was knocked down further by data showing that the economy may be decelerating more than anticipated. A Commerce Department report that orders for durable goods in January dropped by the largest amount in three months exacerbated jitters about the direction of the U.S. economy, just a day after former Federal Reserve Chairman Alan Greenspan said the United States may be headed for a recession. It looks more and more like the economy is a slow growth economy, said Michael Strauss, chief economist at Commonfund. Moderate economic growth is good -- an abrupt stop in economic growth scares people. The market had been expecting the government on Wednesday to revise its estimate of fourth-quarter GDP growth down to an annual rate of about 2.3 percent from an initial forecast of 3.5 percent, and grew increasingly nervous on Tuesday that the figure could come in even lower. The housing market, which the Street had been hoping had bottomed out, also looked far from recovery after a Standard Poor's index indicated that single-family home prices across the nation were flat in December. A later report from the National Association of Realtors said existing home sales climbed in January by the largest amount in two years, but the data didn't erase housing-related concerns, as median home prices fell for a sixth straight month. But a growing feeling that Wall Street, which has had a big run-up since October, was due for a correction also played into Tuesday's decline. I think that the market was prepared to pull back. Setuju pak, kalo main saham menurut saya pribadi HARUS tenang, tp seperti saya bilang kalo trader justru kan harus mengikuti arah naik turun index supaya bisa memanfaatkan peluang sebaik2-nya. The drop hit every sector of stocks across the market. Riskier issues such as small-cap and technology stocks suffered the biggest declines. But analysts who have been expecting a pullback after a huge rally that began last October and sent the Dow to a series of record highs, were unfazed by Tuesday's drop. This corrective consolidation phase isn't just going to be one day, but we don't believe this is going to be a bear market, said Bob Doll, BlackRock's global chief investment officer of equities. The market had been expecting the government on Wednesday to revise its estimate of fourth-quarter GDP growth down to an annual rate of about 2.3 percent from an initial forecast of 3.5 percent, and grew increasingly nervous on Tuesday that the figure could come in even lower. The housing market, which the Street had been hoping had bottomed out, also looked far from recovery after a Standard Poor's index indicated that single-family home prices across the nation were flat in December. A later report from the National Association of Realtors said existing home sales climbed in January by the largest amount in two years, but the data didn't erase housing-related concerns, as median home prices fell for a sixth straight month. But a growing feeling that Wall Street, which has had a big run-up since October, was due for a correction also played into Tuesday's decline. I think that the market was prepared to pull back.
