[Tasrul]

Seperti kita ketahui moving averages adalah trend indicator, jadi memang
diharapkan buy and hold harus lebih besar dibanding trading. Nah jika
indikator yg oscillator diharapkan buy and hold < trading. Nah jika kita
cek saat ini moving averages dimana buy and hold lebih besar dan
oscillator hasil trading juga lebih besar artinya koreksi ini masih
wajar, dlam arti kata koreksi dalam trend yang naik.

Tidak boleh pesimis memang, but we need to face the thruth here:
- Dow sekarang cuma ikut old adage, "buy the rumour" rally (home sales result) 
dan "sell the news" correction (jika nanti hasil retail jelek) nanti
- US GDP bisa survive karena government stimulus, tax cut, benefit payout dll. 
Tanpa stereoids dan intervensi pemerintah tsb, GDP mereka kontraksi mendekati 
8% annually!, bukan 1% seperti published 
- China yang "katanya" GDPnya +10% saja, masih bisa koreksi -20% (walaupun 
issuenya more on TMP)

New York- Angka penjualan rumah di AS sangat mengejutkan investor. Ditambah
pidato Gubernur Bank Sentral AS Ben Bernanke yang optimistis, saham-saham di
Wall Street pun bergerak menguat ke titik tertingginya sepanjang 2009.

Komentar Gubernur Bank Sentral AS, Ben Bernanke turut membawa optimisme
pasar. Dalam konferensi tahunan, Bernanke memberikan sinyal yang jelas
tentang perekonomian global yang kini keluar dari krisis. Namun ia
mengingatkan perekonomian dunia akan melemah untuk beberapa waktu kedepan.

"Setelah mengalami kontraksi dalam beberapa tahun, aktivitas ekonomi
sepertinya akan stabil, baik di AS dan negara lain. Prospek untuk kembalinya
pertumbuhan ekonomi dalam jangka pendek sepertinya baik," ujar Bernanke
dalam pidatonya seperti dikutip dari AFP.

Sentimen positif juga datang setelah National Association of Realtor
melaporkan bahwa penjualan rumah mencatat rekor selama Juli, sehingga
mencetak rally untuk pertama kalinya sejak 5 tahun. 

Penjualan rumah jadi melonjak 7,2% selama Juli sehingga secara tahunan
mencapai 5,24 juta unit atau tertinggi sejak data itu mulai dibuat pada
1999.

"Data penjualan rumah telah menggerakkan pasar, namun sebenarnya yang
mendorong investor untuk tetap melakukan rally adalah pidato Bernanke," ujar
John Augustine, chief investment strategist Fifth Third Asset Management
seperti dikutip dari Reuters, Sabtu (22/8/2009).

"Komentarnya optimistis, namun juga penuh kehati-hatian tentang kuantitatif
mengakhiri pelonggaran pada suatu waktu. Namun pasar mengambilnya sebagai
berita yang bagus," tambahnya.

Pada perdagangan JUmat (21/8/2009), indeks Dow Jones industrial averege
(DJIA) melonjak hingga 155,91 poin (1,67%) ke level 9.505,96. Indeks
Standard & Poor's 500 juga menguat 18,76 poin (1,86%) ke level 1.026,13 dan
Nasdaq menguat 31,68 poin (1,59%) ke ke level 2.020,90.

Untuk pekan ini, Dow Jones menguat 2%, S&P 500 juga menguat 2,2% dan Nasdaq
menguat 1,8%.

Volume cukup moderat, di New Yorks Stock Exchange mencapai 1,48 miliar atau
hampir menyamai rata-rata tahun lalu sebanyak 1,49 miliar. Di Nasdaq,
transaksi mencapai 2,28 miliar atau sama dengan rata-rata tahun lalu. 

Harga Minyak Loncat

Sementara harga minyak mentah dunia ikut melonjak ke titik tertingginya
sepanjang 2009. Lonjakan harga dipicu oleh melemahnya dolar AS dan anjloknya
cadangan minyak AS.

Pada perdagangan Jumat di New York, kontrak utama minyak light sweet
pengiriman Oktober ditutup naik 98 sen menjadi US$ 73,89 dolar. Minyak light
sempat melonjak ke US$ 74,72 per barel yagn merupakan level tertinggi sejak
20 Oktober 2008.

Sementara minyak Brent pengiriman Oktober naik 86 sen menjadi US$ 74,10 per
barel, setelah sempat melonjak hingga US$ 74,97 per barel.

Dear All,
 
Berdasarkan data terakhir Dow masih berada dalam up trend jangka pendek. 
Kecuali tembus level 8,281.14 (closing terakhir di 8.292.13, sedikit diatas 
level kritis). EMA short belum dead cross dengan EMA long dan masih berpotensi 
terjadinya slip sehingga dead cross bisa gagal.
 
Dari MACD juga memperlihat belum sepenuhnya tembus centerline dan peluang untuk 
reversal jika menyentuh trend lina masih terbuka
