Can you share that dvi file? If so could you attach it to the bug?

I left okular in busy state for 10 min, and it still hasn't opened the file.

[Okular-devel] [Bug 233531] New: Crash with dvi files

2010-04-06 Thread auxsvr
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=233531

   Summary: Crash with dvi files
   Product: okular
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: openSUSE RPMs
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: crash
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
AssignedTo: okular-devel@kde.org
ReportedBy: aux...@yahoo.com

Version:(using KDE 4.4.1)
Compiler: gcc version 4.4.1 [gcc-4_4-branch revision 150839] (SUSE
Linux)
OS:Linux
Installed from:openSUSE RPMs

When opening dvi files with okular, there's some probablility (It seems more
likely to occur when opening files for the first time, so it may be related to
generating missing fonts.) that okular will use 95% CPU and not open the file
at all. The interface then is functional, but attempting to use it in any way
(close, open file) leads to a crash:

It seems to be a problem with mime types,
after changing line
  MimeType=application/x-fictionbook;
to
  MimeType=application/x-fictionbook+xml;
in share\kde4\services\libokularGenerator_poppler.desktop
i can open .fb2 files.
