And the "Quick Annotations" -> "Freehand Line" works fine too :-)

Unfortunately, this seems to have been created using log level "warning". Can
you set CUPS's log level to "Debug" in /etc/cups/cupsd.conf, restart CUPS, try
again and attach an updated log?

I use Debian's official packages. Sometimes I install newer versions from
unstable, but usually I just stick with testing. Either way, I doubt Debian
pulls from unreleased versions for KDE packages, generally speaking... though,
to be fair, I can't say for certain.

TLDR: Not that I'm aware of.

I am not sure what you mean. I want to close a document, and when I open Okular
again, the document is open again? Why do I close Okular at all then? Web
browsers sometimes do stuff like that, I don’t really understand why.

I think you need some session management feature that lets you control which
documents are opened automatically, like in Kate. So I close this as duplicate
of “session management” for now, note especially the last comment there.

I don't think the build failing is due to the outdated patch.

It fails due to link errors:

[okular] [Bug 426380] New: Okular forgets the open documents when closed normally and reopened

2020-09-10 Thread Jaime Torres
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=426380

Bug ID: 426380
Summary: Okular forgets the open documents when closed normally
and reopened
   Product: okular
   Version: 1.11.0
  Platform: openSUSE RPMs
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: okular-devel@kde.org
  Reporter: jtam...@gmail.com
  Target Milestone: ---

SUMMARY
When the session is closed and reopened, okular remembers the open documents
and everything is restored as if nothing happened.
But if I close and open again in the same session, okular forgets the previous
open documents and I have to restore them manually from the recent documents
(if they are still there).

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Close normally okular
2. Open normally okular

OBSERVED RESULT
The opened documents are lost, okular is empty

EXPECTED RESULT
The opened documents are there, okular is restored like in the session start.

I'll share a preview once we reach that point.

The shortcuts have been already swapped, should see it in 1.11.2. Now the quick
annotations have shortcuts 1, 2, 3, ... as it was in Okular < 1.11.

[okular] [Bug 421822] 'Scroll Page Up'/'Scroll Page Down' actions do not scroll by pages

2020-09-10 Thread bugzilla_noreply
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=421822

--- Comment #12 from triffid.hun...@gmail.com ---
I've found that my patch works if you stick with pgup/pgdn, but the scroll
position gets confused and jumps suddenly if you subsequently use scroll wheel
- apparently I need to update another control somewhere for it to work
properly.

What exactly I'm missing I'm not sure - my bread and butter is firmware, not
Qt/GUI programming ;)

I'm keeping the patch in my local set, this new glitch is vastly less
irritating than the issue this bug is about, but I hope one of y'all can make a
better patch and post it here!

I'm excited to see these changes :D
Will be available mockups or a preview?
If there is a nightly flatpak channel (or something like that) I'm a happy
tester. Okular is a essential tool to a lot of students and researchers.

Ah, and the shortcuts ... will be swapped (the shortcuts of the built-in
annotations with those of the quick annotations)?

2020-09-10 Thread Sergio
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=367959

Still an issue as of Okular 1.10.0 on

Operating System: Kubuntu 20.04
KDE Plasma Version: 5.18.5
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.68.0
Qt Version: 5.12.8
Kernel Version: 5.4.0-47-generic
OS Type: 64-bit
Processors: 8 × Intel® Core™ i7-10510U CPU @ 1.80GHz
Memory: 15,3 GiB of RAM

The PDF viewer in Firefox renders the demo file correctly, okular does not. The
rendering is not as bad as in the attachment "how okular shows the demo file"
right now.

[okular] [Bug 425597] Annotation Toolbar not shown

2020-09-10 Thread Simone Gaiarin
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=425597

The file .local/share/kxmlgui5/okular/part.rc is automatically deleted if its
version is < 47 (i.e. the version where the annotation toolbar has been added).
If Okular was tested from master in a certain period (between the merge of !105
and !207) there was the possibility to end up in this situation were the
version is updated to 47 without the file being deleted. This should not happen
again now.
