https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=332835 --- Comment #8 from frederic.parre...@univ-grenoble-alpes.fr --- I would be also interested to have these features, that are available in professional pdf editing softwares. It is very useful when you want to comment on a pdf. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.

[okular] [Bug 332835] Feature request: Insert text and replace text annotation
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=332835 --- Comment #7 from Erik Quaeghebeur --- (In reply to Simone Gaiarin from comment #5) > - Red underline means deletion N.B.: You can configure available annotations in Okular (Settings->Configure Okular->Annotations). Deletion should be available (add a 'Text markup' annotation tool with Type 'Strike out'). -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.

[okular] [Bug 332835] Feature request: Insert text and replace text annotation
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=332835 --- Comment #5 from Simone Gaiarin--- Thanks for the suggestion. Actually I never thought of using the underline or highlight associated popup notes for this task. Still, I think that, especially when the document is shared with other users (e.g. windows users), the fact that there is not a specific visual representation of the deletion and addition of text can be confusing and not intuitive. A possible scheme for the workaround can be: - Red underline means deletion - Yellow highlight between two words means addition - The two previous combined means replacement (this requires to switch between the two tools to perform a single operation). I would need to communicate this scheme to all the people I share the pdf with, which may be inconvenient. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.

https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=332835 Henrik Fehlauerchanged: What|Removed |Added CC||rk...@lab12.net --- Comment #4 from Henrik Fehlauer --- Certainly would be nice to have. I don't see why it is urgent though, because you could also use underline or highlighting annotations as a workaround. Simone: Could you detail why you "really need" this? Is this about the visual representation? Do you want to see those as a separate category in the Reviews sidebar? Is Okular failing to show text insertions from Adobe Reader? Other reasons? (Nevertheless, I think attaching the screenshot added value to the bug, thanks.) -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
[okular] [Bug 332835] Feature request: Insert text and replace text annotation
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=332835 --- Comment #3 from Simone Gaiarin--- In the open source community one may also express his support for a feature so that the developer can prioritize what features to implement also based on the requests of the user. If I have to pay someone for every feature missing or bug in KDE I'll be bankrupt by now, given that there are, normally, thousands of those. Where I can fix the bugs myself or implement the feature myself I do it, where I can't I'll try to help by providing feedback on the bugs or sometimes express my desire to see a feature implemented as in this case. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.

https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=332835 Oliver Sanderchanged: What|Removed |Added CC||oliver.san...@tu-dresden.de --- Comment #2 from Oliver Sander --- It needs somebody to sit down and actually do it. If you really really need the feature you may want to consider gathering funds to hire somebody for the job.
