Re: [OM Cooker] New abf build failures

2016-03-01 Thread Alexander Khryukin
Blacky, if you don't want to buy or give us free HDD, just don't worry.
1.7TB is good enough for file-store, when it will be busy at 80% i just
wipe all logs\isos\outdated rpms from there.

[OM Cooker] ABF news

2016-03-01 Thread Alexander Khryukin
Today i enabled on abf.openmandriva.org
HTTP2

* HTTP/2 protocol is multiplexed which means that multiple requests can use
the same TCP connection and thus website assets can be requested in parallel.
HTTP/1, in contrast, requires each request to use its own TCP connection
and thus website assets are requested sequentially.

* HTML content for a web page first, followed by CSS, then JavaScript, and
finally images. This allows browsers to render web pagesquickly.

Now page with build_lists works bit faster

And all requests to http:// redirects to https://

[OM Cooker] abf.openmandriva.org is ready

2016-02-15 Thread Alexander Khryukin
As you see abf.io not available today
"Filesystem on GIT repository is checking now for badblocks. Please be
patient. GIT repository is not avaliable now."

I suggest to move to abf.openmandriva.org immediately

We added today a button to build ISO's and cached chroots from webui.

cached chroot
https://abf.openmandriva.org/platforms/cooker/products/2/product_build_lists/22
ISO
https://abf.openmandriva.org/platforms/cooker/products/1/product_build_lists/9

All stuff is ready to use and working much faster.

[OM Cooker] oma2014 and server

Hello.
Well, docker not working properly, if we use omv2014 without networkmanager

network service flood /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/
with such files https://gist.github.com/fedya/dd7c0047a7f453d64972 (e.g
ifcfg-veth318085e)
and creates devices files like docker0, weave0 etc
Is not good.

[OM Cooker] abf current status

2015-11-03 Thread Alexander Khryukin
As you know "old" abf servers still down since last week and we moving to
new servers.

Current status:
*. File-store - backend is working fine, web-interface not yet
*. abf-downloads - http://46.105.121.20/ working, but need to copy RPM's.
*. redis for live logs and ABF background tasks - working

Need to do:
pgsql container
abf container

Issues:
We have a dump of pgsql database for the file-store and abf (projects,
.abf.yml hashes, platoforms)
but we haven't a password!
What i suggest:
Create an empty database and refill data.
Is bit better than waiting.

2015-07-23 12:59 GMT+03:00 Guilherme Moro guilherme.m...@gmail.com:

Can we at least get a proper official response from the OMA foundation?
I fully support Per in his claims, and is obvious that just trying to
hide from the situation and postponing serious conversation is hurting
 everyone.
The project keeps going in no direction for years, while me and so many
others decided to stop helping from the lack of trust on the council
capacity to deal with problems and act like the real intermediate
representative for such discussions to happen, instead what we have now is
a Foundation with no plans, no strategic view, controlled by who knows who
(we actually know, but let's skip finger pointing for now), that have
 absolutely no transparency.
Blocking Per on the lists is just a clear act of non-transparency, to not
say despotism, and personal bias from the ones that have the control.
So again, I reiterate, who is the representative of the Foundation that
can come up here and have a proper discussion about the points raised?

mock-urpm fails to create mockbuild group and user and fails:

   Executing command: ['/usr/sbin/groupadd', '-g', '101', 'mockbuild']
   groupadd: GID '101' already exists
   Child returncode was: 4
   Executing command: umount -n
 /home/vagrant/tmpfs/openmandriva-aarch64/root/dev/shm
   ...

In the correct build, groupadd should finish successfully, then useradd
should be launched to create mockbuild user and so on.

GID for mockbuild group is taken by mock-urpm from system /etc/group file
 - it takes id of mock-urpm group (unless you specify smth else in its
options) which in turn is created by mock-urpm package during installation.

In your case it looks like /etc/group in the host system has mock-urpm
group with GID=101 while inside chroot there is some other group with this
 ID.

Actually such collisions can happen and the current behavior of mock-urpm
(just take GID of mock-urpm from host system) is not perfect. But I wonder
why it fails only for aarch64. As a workaround, you can try to set
chrootgid option of mock-urpm to some other value.

We had some participation in the MeeGo project in the past before intel
 cancelled it for Tizen...

Tizen just now after four year has just got their first product to market
way too late, too expensive for the only first place just launched; India.

For those following Jolla SailfishOS, they should know that Jolla has
made some huge deals in some BRIC countries..
We need to pick up the work from where MeeGo was left, integrating new
stuff for providing same functionality, and then further on moving as close
to as possible for full compatibility between the two distros on distro
level.. so people must help try get our stuff into their Mer distro (which
is the community successor to the Meego/harmattan/maemo distro).

I have two items on my TODO list related to this that I will for sure do
most of myself, first one requiring major cpu power, is integrating their
libhybris android compatibility layer, requiring a full android build...
A third item that is not dependent on me, is for us to join the SailfishOS
Alliance, I wouldn't be the right person at this moment to be fully
responsible, as I'm in no legal position currently to represent on the
behalf of our only formal organization supporting development, which
 currently is OMA...
So anyone involved with the more biz/administrative side of
association/project with interest in this, do please approach Sailfish
Alliance and make yourself useful in this are and make sure for us to be
 part of it.

It's nice to do such huge builds and test them the same day, so related to
this I myself mainly plan on really get started on this when
 bigberta-moondrake.org is up again...

For those of you who don't know, it's my 64 core, 256GB RAM, 8xSSD
hardware raid 0, Opteron system, it's been out of commission for almost a
year, and with my procrastrination and difficulties hauling my ass to RMA
it and financially related difficulties getting in the way... (and to try
make it public so people without previous access will know about new
(although just personal) sponsoring is coming their way, and this will come
as a kenobi cluster (and former klamah) replacement, it being both pretty
much able to push away all of existing work that ABF servers do, reducing
the cost of renting/hosting by removing the need, while still provide a
solid enough virtual environment to provide it as just as much test and
build platform as back then, which we now unfortunately all have to do
 locally.
I think I should have it up and running again at full capacity and
full/stable uptime within the next two months, I'll be getting back to work
after my several weeks absence outside of cooker list activity next week
after having some medical difficulties sorted out finally...

From brief discussions with bero regarding this, he's expressed interest
in this and I hope for him to help out, especially considering android is
 especially his field.. ;)

Second major and likely most controversial item on my list is RPM...
Considering the advantage we had by having free playground within the RPM
project and better collaboration with other distros, this hasn't been the
case for years now due to diffficult upstream..

We considered (together with PLD) first just maintaining a cvs git clone
repo of rpm5.org where we could follow upstream and do our own work in
common branches again where we pulled it all in easily.
Then we considered perhaps fork rpm5 and gradually transform it to become
compatible with rpm.org, but the heavy amounts of refactoring done within
rpm.org makes this a very time consuming, tedious and wasteful job...
So easier is it that we move back to rpm.org, ie. with their
distro-ecosystem (orwhatever the list was named), most other distros of
interest that's still around and having an interest in the golden arch
(that I actually was hired initially for working on, as part of my master
studies), namely a cleaner, saner, easier, more automatic, more compatible
with far less maintenance for the RPM distros to finally share, just like
.deb based distros has been since the early morning...
So I have like over 300 patches maintained locally since 2011 with pretty
much all of my work which hasn't gone upstream meanwhile and all the work
invested into it earlier over the years before my cvs commit access was cut
 off back in nov 2011.

So I have quite a large and lonely task cut out for me this time, only
help I'm making some hopes of is PLD helping porting parts of their
relevant code and functionality parts to rpm.org...

If anyone would like to help me out with the job, even rookie apprentices
would be accepted, please let me know! ;)

So yes, for the next release (not upcoming), the official plan of mine
(probably a bit perplexing to some;) is for us to move back to rpm.org...

/usr/uclibc/usr/lib64/libturbojpeg.so point to non-existent files. During
the update there were warning messages about this.

 Probably nothing important.

Hi, looks like somehow some Plasma or KDE Framework software pulls some
devel libraries. This is wrong and i need to track i down.

currently on cooker LLVM/clang is used as default compiler, and gcc is
 used as a fallback.

I'd suggest to remove requires on gcc from rpm-build subpackage
 https://abf.io/openmandriva/rpm/blob/master/rpm.spec#lc-788

  Benefits:
  1. Less load on ABF, due to not installing gcc packages
  2. Find potential packages which were hardcoding gcc

  Drawbacks:
  1. Packages which only gcc can compile, needs to have added gcc as a
 buildrequire in spec file.

  WDYT ?

 what do you think ?

well, if's work .. and nothing disabled/handicapped , why not..

[OM Cooker] RASPBERRY PI 2 and OpenMandriva

2015-03-02 Thread Alexander Khryukin
Hello.
I made a simple omv image for Raspberry Pi2.
I haven't rpi2 device, and did it blindly, but image works fine.
Img file contains minimal openmandriva cooker system for armv7, without any
graphics.
just do
sudo dd if=pi2-omv.img of=/dev/[your_device] bs=1M

and edit /etc/fstab to make root partition writable.

 Hi all,

A short news - we have finalized preparation of a new ABF UI and in the
nearest future will deploy it to the production, so be ready for the new
 design:)

Also note that the changes are much deeper than just UI, we have reworked
the whole code base a lot (in particular, we have migrated to Bootstrap 3
and AngularJS). This not only brings new technologies to ABF, but should
also simplify its maintenance in future.

We have tested our new developments as much as we could, but it is still
possible that we have missed some issued. So please be patient and report
us any problems you meet, we will try to fix them as soon as we can.

calamares looks pretty

2015-01-13 14:53 GMT+03:00 Tomasz Gajc tpg...@gmail.com:

 Hi,

i've packaged for cooker, calamares (http://calamares.github.io/) which
 is a Qt5/KF5 installer framwork.

Calamares needs to be adapted to allow at least two types of installation:
 1. live install = copy content of ISO to hard disk
 2. repository install = install packages with urpmi

Currently only option 2 is somewhat supported.

You may want to try to test it just run urpmi calamares (available for
 cooker)

If anyone is willing to help to adapt calamares, please just do it :)

 Sources can be found here:
 https://abf.io/openmandriva/calamares

 Cheers.
