You may need to 'pkg install system/storage/sasinfo' first. I've got the same hba (not sure of the firmware rev.) but ran into the exact same issue. My issue was the power supply and the small gauge wires used to power the drives. I installed a new power supply w/ the same wattage but heavier wires and all my issues disappeared. I stumbled upon the solution by connecting a separate power supply to one of the drives and hot wiring the MB connector to power it on (i.e. green wire to any black w/ paper clip). All the issues disappeared for the drive on the separate power supply while the other continued to have issues. All my drives have run error free for a months since the new power supply. YMMV! Re: [OmniOS-discuss] Parity error on path mpt_sas2
Filip Some days ago I had same issue. My problem was very easy. Of course I already known it. I had another problem too. The smartctl is show me the next error what is growing up and up. 199 UDMA_CRC_Error_Count Anyway the solution is very easy. I have two PCIe slot and I tried the another slot and that's it. Please write it back if it works for you. May be the FW downgrade is good idea. ps 1 PCIe 1x16 (x16, PCIe 3.0) 2 PCIe 1x16 (x4, PCIe 2.0) HBA FW is 20. In this log messages there is error on sd13, but there are similar parity errors on four other disks too. All disks with parity errors are in the same RAIDZ pool. All disks seems to be OK in zpool status and there are no errors on disks reported by smartctl. There are no problems reported by fmdump All three pools using the same LSI 9211-8i HBA with firmware version 20. Sometimes that pool have very slow responses even on zpool status command, sometimes works normaly. Do you have any idea where could be a problem? What else I can check?
