Re: [onap-discuss] [ONAP Helpdesk #57926] RE: [LOG][AAI][SDNC] for [POMBA] Request for 10 additional Repos - CIMAN-169

Geora,

I think I can field that one __

Yes, there is - the groupId basically has to match the structure of the
repository name. So, for example, the code in the ccsdk/sli/core repository
all has to have groupIds that start with org.onap.ccsdk.sli.core. They can
have additional levels, as long as they start with that prefix.

Hi Michael,

I have updated the wiki at
https://urldefense.proofpoint.com/v2/url?u=https-3A__wiki.onap.org_display_DW_Resources-2Band-2BRepositories-23ResourcesandRepositories-2DLoggingEnhancements=DwIGaQ=LFYZ-o9_HUMeMTSQicvjIg=qLcfee4a2vOwYSub0bljcQ=gGA1KNVucLI8QV4SIpbhGdiGexehBD9t9e_1dqaSjJo=Yl92MzsSDK2e7sNSpcaLYKW0rCtQycR5jx_dP9_6g9Q=
to update the "Maven Group ID" field.

Please review and confirm this is what you intended and we will take it
from there for Log project.

As you mentioned, we will wait request from other PTLs impacted by this
initiative to create their repos.

I see you added 2 extra columns labelled "Maven Artifact ID" and "Java
package name". I am not sure what is the purpose of these 2 extra columns. This
won't be used by LF. Could you explain?

Thanks,

Gildas

CIMAN-169

LF, Jessica, Gildas,

Hi, I am putting in a formal request for some additional repos, (git,
gerrit, nexus, nexus3, sonar, Jenkins infrastructure).

There are 10 repos requested for the POMBA sub-project these are
distributed across logging-analtyics, SDNC and AA I understand the PTLs
(Tim and Jimmy) of sdnc and aai are aware of their requests - I have included
all information across the projects to help collaboration and consolidation of
work for the Linux Foundation. This includes Sharon and Prudence of the POMBA
sub-project.

I am including Seshu from SO because I understand new repos are coming
in there soon as well - since we are all helping each other out - I would ask
any other project to join the conversation on any new repos they require so we
can compare notes..

The repos are of the AA model - where we have 1 repo per microservice.

DevOps jira only for logging-analytics so far has all these details and
links to the following 3 tracking jiras.

2018-05-07 Thread dt5...@att.com via RT
All,

You shouldn’t really be using snapshot versions of the CCSDK docker images.
You should be using version 0.2-STAGING-latest for CCSDK (and
1.3-STAGING-latest for SDN-C)

I noticed last week that the docker version manifest incorrectly specified
snapshot versions for the CCSDK docker images, so I fixed that. Sorry if that
caused any confusion.

Team,
The image was deleted again – looks like as James M. has mentioned – the
rule for nexus3 deletion should be “delete 2 week old images – unless there has
been no build in the past 2 weeks” – to keep at least 1 snapshot around

LF,
Just would like to understand what happened to this image that broke SDNC and
APPC for a couple days

https://jira.onap.org/browse/SDNC-285
https://jira.onap.org/browse/APPC-856

From the logs it looks like the SNAPSHOT image was returned 4 days ago –
before the 20th of April the dockers failed to pull.

When these images disappear for a while – the pods fail to come up.

Michael

Please see the comment I just added to this ticket. This is a much bigger
issue than just releasing the existing docker containers. If we can’t use
snapshot or staging versions of Dockers any longer in integration, you are
probably going to be looking at an average turnaround for fixes of no better
than 24 hours (since each and every one will need 2 releases done : first of
Maven artifact, then a rebuild Docker based on updated Maven, and then finally
released version of Docker).

Also, if we do as requested and request release builds for our docker
containers, there is a possibility for discrepancies between our released Maven
artifacts and released Docker containers.

Due to this potential discrepancy, I think we need to discuss this at our PTL
call on Monday. We need to make the TSC aware of this potential discrepancy
and to go on record accepting that risk.
