We are unable to sponsor Visa's at this time. *Job Description:* The scrum master is the facilitator for a product development team that uses scrum, a rugby analogy for a development methodology that allows a team to self-organize and make changes quickly. The scrum master manages the process for how information is exchanged. Our client provides IT infrastructure solutions that ensure the 24/7/365 availability and security of our customers’ critical data and applications. Customer-centric and cost-competitive, IT infrastructure solutions are designed to scale and adapt to customers’ changing business needs, enabling them to increase agility, lower costs, improve performance and focus internal resources on their core competencies — all while maintaining required uptime, access and security. The Scrum Master will assist in identifying and clearing obstacles for the team and develop a high performing team. The Scrum Master will coach and mentor the team on agile best practices. The Scrum Master will be responsible for sprint planning, and for ensuring that cross-functional coordination is occurring early and often. This position will also require a commitment to building a collaborative culture within our team. *Required Skills:* · 2 years of experience with Agile/Scrum. · 5 years of experience in a technology environment, software development environment preferred. · Results oriented approach with an eye toward “getting the details right”. · A Scrum Master certification, highly preferred. · Solid understanding of iterative development and incremental software delivery. · Servant leader with excellent communications skills. *Nice to have:* · Experience with Jira/Confluence. · Experience working with Virtualization technologies and architectures. · Experience developing applications in PHP, Java or other Object Oriented based languages. · Knowledge of PHP, AngularJS, AJAX, MySQL or PostGres, Linux and javascript. · Understanding of OOP (Object Oriented Programming). *Key Responsibilities:* · Serve as a Scrum Master for the development team. · Clear obstacles and develop a high performing team. · Provide daily hands-on support to the team. · Guide the team on how to use Agile practices and values to deliver projects faster. · Facilitate sprint planning, and coordinate retrospectives and demos. · Ensure cross-functional collaboration is occurring early and often.
