[Call For UI Review] About the attribute list level of paragraph style

2012-09-10 Thread Huaidong Qiu
Hi all,

I need some advice from the UI expert about the list
level attribute of Numbering Enhancement feature.

I need a UI to link a numbering level of a list style to a paragraph style.
I want add a list box control into the "Options" tab page of the
"Numbering style" dialog.

The steps to open this tab page are:

1. New a writer document.
2. press F11 open the "Style and Formatting" dialog.
3. choose the "list style" tab page
4. open context menu by left click on the tab page, select "new..." menu
item
5. select the "Options" tab page of the "Numbering style" dialog.

Here is a changed UI screen shot, I put this picture into the wiki page for
this feature

http://wiki.openoffice.org/wiki/File:Listlevel.png

here is the wiki page for the Numbering Enhancement feature

1. Insert a picture into word processor, change the anchor property to "as

2. Add a hyperlink on this picture.
3. Save this file as "Microsoft Word 97/2000/XP .doc" file.

Just changed the Attributes for font files in the component table
to msidbComponentAttributesSharedDllRefCount, the font will be deinstallled
when the ref count of the files down to 0, so other apps can use those
fonts as well when AOO installed.

Re: Windows 8 Compatibility?

2012-06-15 Thread Huaidong Qiu
About the fonts AOO installed into the system font directory, I did some
verification on Windwos XP.

1. AOO archive package packs those font inside the package, you can find
them here Basis\share\fonts\truetype.

2. Install AOO, then remove one of the fonts AOO
installed, Arimo-Bold.ttf, Arimo-BoldItalic.ttf, Arimo-Italic.ttf,
Arimo-Regular.ttf,
from the system font directory. Open installed AOO, the font name
disappears from the font list of AOO.

3.Copy directory Basis\share\fonts\truetype from archive package to the
install directory. Open installed AOO, the font name come back.

So I think we can pack the needed fonts into the installer package
as archive package did. Then we can safely remove those fonts from the
install directory without affect other applications.

Any ideas?
