Re: [OPEN-ILS-DEV] Evergreen 2.4 Beta1
This beta and the OpenSRF are working OK on Gentoo. There is a need to update the version of dev-libs/yaz that is currently not in Portage. I've created an rebuild for it and we're trying to get that in mainline Gentoo. https://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=462426 On 19 Mar 2013 13:31, Mike Rylander mrylan...@gmail.com wrote: The first (and likely only, barring major bugs) beta release of Evergreen 2.4 is now available for download http://evergreen-ils.org/downloads.php and testing. This marks the official feature-freeze point for the 2.4 series of Evergreen. Notable features include: - Significant TPAC enhancements - Streamlined and enhanced Acquisitions functionality - Expanded options for the configuration of Holds and Circulations The full set of upcoming features are listed in the release noteshttp://evergreen-ils.org/documentation/previews/RELEASE_NOTES_2_4_beta1.html, and the complete list of source code changes since the release of 2.3 is available in the git change loghttp://evergreen-ils.org/downloads/previews/ChangeLog-2.3-2.4-beta1 . The OpenSRF 2.2.0 http://evergreen-ils.org/opensrf.php or later is recommended for use with Evergreen 2.4. OpenSRF 2.2 is in alpha now, with release expected at approximately the same time as Evergreen 2.4.0. All testers of the Evergreen 2.4 beta are encouraged to test with OpenSRF 2.2.0, as there are significant performance enhancements and bug fixes associated with Evergreen's new features. Thanks to all who helped make this release possible. -- Mike Rylander | Director of Research and Development | Equinox Software, Inc. / Your Library's Guide to Open Source | phone: 1-877-OPEN-ILS (673-6457) | email: mi...@esilibrary.com | web: http://www.esilibrary.com

Re: [OPEN-ILS-DEV] Evergreen 2.4 Beta1
I just had some build issues, that was removed in part of the troubleshooting - it's OK to keep it - I've updated the bug. I don't currently have some for opensrf, but will make one. -- David Busby Edoceo, Inc. http://edoceo.com/ 206.282.6500 On Wed, Mar 20, 2013 at 12:44 PM, Robin H.
