Dear Sir, I have installed Evergreen1_2_3_1 on ubuntu 8.04 and working fine. I also successfully installed staff-client for client machine on window also but I am unable to install staff-client for client machine on Ubuntu. Dear Member, I have installed evergreen-1.2.3.1 on ubuntu 8.04 and installed staff-client for client machine on window platform the same version of evergreen as evergreen-setup-rel_1_2_3_1 But I am getting error showing version 404 not found. and The requested URL /xul/rel_1_2_3_1/server/patron/barcode_entry.xul was not found on this server. Dear All, I am getting error during bulk import, Please any one help me to add library name so that I can add the folllowing field in any file for library name and branch for marc tag 999$m and 999$l. I have given 999$m as NCSI and 999$l as BR1 but its throwing error during bulk imporing. I have added library name as NCSI and owning branch as Example Branch 1 in admin local system administration Copy Locations Editor when we run xulrunner the following workstation showing workstation BR1-NCSI Please help me to find out this small problem ie, how to add library name and branch for our library . or if any documentation is available regarding the workflow with evergreen, provide me a link. Dear sir, Finally I am getting some error but follow the methods that you have suggested. 1) Last I knew, MARC::File::XML does not support namespace prefixes (marc: ). You can tell MarcEdit to leave them out by selecting Tools-Preferences, select the MARCEngine tab, then uncheck Use Namespace and apply. 2) If you are not trying to preserve record ids from a previous ILS, you can forget about the 035 field and let marc2bre.pl generate valid ids for your records. [OPEN-ILS-DEV] Building the Staff Client on a Client Machine
Dear All, I have installed Evergreen-ILS-1.2.3.1 on ubuntu 8.04 following the documentation you have given for installation http://evergreen-ils.org/dokuwiki/doku.php?id=installing_evergreen_1.2_on_ubuntu_7.10 and it works.on the sever side, xulrunner working properly. But now I want to build staff-client on a client side. I follow the instruction that you have given in the following links. http://open-ils.org/dokuwiki/doku.php?id=evergreen-user:installing_and_running_the_staff_clients[]=staffs[]=client I have installed the following packages sudo apt-get install subversion sudo apt-get install xulrunner but downloading the source code link is not working. svn co svn://svn.open-ils.org/ILS/tags/rel_1_2_1_4/ In the installation manual in am using rel_1_2_3_0 for server so which version we need to download from source code. But in reality,there is good documentation available on your site and evergreen is a good software related to library automation . since I am new to evergreen and ubuntu thats why I posted small question? Dear Member, When i trying to remove xulrunner 1.9 through synaptic automatically removes mozilla and other dependencies. so how I install xulrunner 1.8? or again i have to remove all files and install again? please reply, vijay Hi Vijay, there are known issues with the 1.9 series of xulrunner and the staff client, especially when it comes to self-signed certs. Now that 1.9 is deemed a stable release by Mozilla, we want to support it but it's going to take some time to work through the changes. Is it possible for you to use the 1.8 series of xulrunner? Now I solved version problem
I edit vim
/Evergreen-ILS-1.2.2.3/Open-ILS/xul/staff_client/build/application.ini
and changed to Maxversion 1.9 to MaxVersion=1.9.0.*
then showing no problem with max and min version
Now I am getting different error

Dear Member and Mike Rylander sir, as you suggested to solve error in libdbi-driver This means that libdbi.so is not in a standard location indexed by ldconfig. When building libdbi, you can give it a prefix that is already in /etc/ld.so.conf (or an included file) or you can add the libdbi.so installation directory there and run ldconfig. The Makefile.install prerequisite gathering method installs a file for inclusion in ld.so.conf, IIRC, and if you're using the default configuration for libdbi you should be able to use that file directly. Dear Member, I am a student and trying to install evergreen since last monthbut i didnot have install yet. 1) I am using postgresql-0.8.2 for evergreen installation so what version of libdbi and libdbi-driver is needed . According to new manual I am using libdbi-0.8.3 and libdbi-driver 0.8.3 Am i correct ?? or I have to install libdbi and libdbi-driver version according to version of postgresql. 2) please anyone let me know the installation procedure of libdbi-0.8.3 and installation procedure of libdbi-driver-0.8.3 and where I have to install . I always stuck with an error during installlation of libdbi-0.8.3.
