[OPEN-ILS-GENERAL] Circ Duration Rules

2011-03-31 Thread Joan Kranich
Hello,

I am setting my circulation policies and looking at the shrt, normal,
and extended values in the circ duration rules. I haven't thought of
how the shrt or extended settings would be helpful to our libraries. If
your libraries uses the shrt or extended parameters, can you tell me how
you find it helpful?

Thanks.

Joan

Subject: [OPEN-ILS-GENERAL] Acquisitions Selection List

I was just wondering if this is the way the system is supposed to behave. When
I create a selection list and give it a name like "dogs of New England," a
selection list is created with that name and the attached items I found with a
z39.50 search or from the catalog. However, it also saves a list named
"Unnamed" and doesn't seem to clean it up (I'm assuming this was some kind of
placeholder for the database.) We are running 2.0.3.

[OPEN-ILS-GENERAL] due date bug in Evergreen 2.x

2011-03-31 Thread Jason Etheridge
Hey folks,

We found a bug in the 2.x series of Evergreen that happens because of
today's date, the 31st. If you try to set a due date for a checkout
(existing or new) to a date in April (or any month with less than 31
days), the date will be thrown off into the following month (this is
because, for example, at a certain point in the code, a date is being
told it is April 31st, before a more specific and correct date is
chosen, and since April 31st doesn't exist, it gets moved a few days
forward into May, and then the date is set. So an attempt at using
4-11-2011 results in 5-11-2011).

I've committed a fix here: http://svn.open-ils.org/trac/ILS/changeset/19919

Equinox customers on 2.0 will be getting this fix very shortly, but I
wanted to make sure others were aware of it.
