2017-03-08 Thread Kathy Lussier

Hi all,

I just wanted to let everyone know that the MassLNC community demo
server has been updated to include all of the fixes that were merged
during and since Bug Squashing week. Access information is available at
https://wiki.evergreen-ils.org/doku.php?id=community_servers

A list of those fixes is available at http://bit.ly/2mHmzg9.

Due to the extended time period, more people were able to participate
this time around, and the results positively reflected the amount of
effort contributed by the community.

A summary is posted on the wiki here:

Re: [OPEN-ILS-GENERAL] Error message on a workstation - what does it mean?

2017-03-08 Thread Willis, Beth
Hi Jennifer,

I have a thought that *may* be of some help.

When you create a serial subscription, you also need to create a
'distribution.' One option that you set in a distribution is the "Summary
Method."

This setting indicates how you want your holdings to display in the
catalog. If you choose "Use record entry only" (e.g. serial record entry)
you are telling the system that you want to display the holdings from your
MFHD record. So, I suppose you could run into problems if you choose this
option but do not have a MFHD for the title.

This is just a guess, though. I haven't tried to test this yet. As I
mentioned, I have never seen that error before.

[OPEN-ILS-GENERAL] Evergreen Community Survey

2017-03-08 Thread Rogan Hamby
Once again Spring comes around and with it the Evergreen International
Conference. With the conference a month away we are preparing to also do
the second ever Evergreen Community Annual Report to be distributed at the
conference (and electronically).

The Outreach Committee is working full steam on making this happen but one
of the most important parts is capturing a picture of the libraries who
make up our community and that's where we need your help! Like last year
we have a survey we would like Evergreen libraries to respond to :
https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/YS5RLRG

Whether you are one location, a large consortium, a corporate library or
anything else, if you use Evergreen we want to hear from you. We got great
responses last year so I hope everyone responded does so again. However,
there are also parts of the community that I know didn't get a chance to
respond so don't assume that someone else from your library will. Make
sure your library is represented!

Again: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/YS5RLRG

Also, if you don't already follow the community Evergreen account on
twitter please do so, @EvergreenILS and follow the #evgils hash tag.
Conference tweets are going out with the #evgils17 hashtag including
recognizing our great conference sponsors and exhibitors so let them know
you care about their support of the conference.
