[OPEN-ILS-GENERAL] Bringing in price information from MARC Federated Search

2018-05-24 Thread Jane Sandberg
Our book vendor offers a Z39.50 search, which we can access through
the MARC Federated Search. They're even kind enough to put pricing
information into a 9XX field in the search results (see attached).
However, Evergreen doesn't use that pricing information in the line
item that it creates.

Is there a way to configure Evergreen to pull pricing info from a MARC
field when creating a line item from a MARC Federated Search? If not,
I can start a launchpad bug. :-)

Thanks!

Re: [OPEN-ILS-GENERAL] Overview and mockups for acquisitions development project

2018-05-24 Thread Kathy Lussier

Hi all,

I'm sending along an update on our project to move acquisitions to
Angular. The MassLNC Evergreen Development Initiative and Georgia PINES
have committed to funding the entire set of technical specifications for
this very important next step in web client development. Many thanks to
the partners in the Development Initiative for supporting this project:
CW MARS, NOBLE, Bibliomation, BC Libraries, Georgia PINES, Evergreen
Indiana, Lake Agassiz Regional Library / Northwest Regional Library and
Howe Library.

We expect to receive our first quote to code this project in the fall
with the quotes for the final sprints arriving at the beginning of 2019.
At that time, we will be seeking funding from the community to move this
project forward. As you plan your development budgets, please consider
setting aside some funds for this project so that we can look forward to
seeing revamped acquisitions interfaces as soon as possible.

Feel free to let us know if you have any questions.

Thank you!
Kathy

Equinox created this report, which breaks down a project to move
acquisitions to AngularJS (or Angular) in ten different sprints. The
report also includes some draft mock-ups for acquisitions interfaces.
Many thanks to Georgia PINES for funding this report!

Along with this report, MassLNC has received a quote to create tech
specs for this project. We'll be reviewing the quote over the next few
weeks and will possibly reaching out to the community for help in
funding this project.

Feel free to let me know if you have any questions!

[OPEN-ILS-GENERAL] MassLNC test servers will go down tomorrow

2018-05-24 Thread Kathy Lussier

Hi all,

The MassLNC test servers, which include the community demo server and
our Sandboxes (the ones with a URL that start with mlnc), will be going
down tomorrow at 4 p.m. EDT so that they can move to a new location.
I'll send an email to the list when they are back up again.
