[OPEN-ILS-GENERAL] Printing round CD labels
Does anyone use Evergreen to print CD labels, the little round hubs you stick to the inside of DVDs and CDs? If so, what product do you use, and how do you get Evergreen to print to them. I've also asked this question in the Catalogers Discussion group, so there is a little cross posting. Re: [OPEN-ILS-GENERAL] Unique Management Collection Services
We've used Unique Management services for a year with Evergreen and many years before with another automation system. We recently decided to stop using Unique's services for a number of months, giving us time to gather statistics. A month before turning names over to Unique, we've called customers ourselves. For this effort we were seeing a 50% return rate, and a lot of appreciation from customers for the personal call. Moving forward, we'll be gathering stats on what does not get returned after our efforts and without Unique's efforts. We'll also be considering what the cost of being in business is, what our normal loss rate is. (I'd love to hear others thoughts on this!) After we have these numbers we'll be able to compare them to our stats gathered while using Unique's services, and have the necessary data to make a better informed decision. [OPEN-ILS-GENERAL] Material Recovery Reports
Good Morning Everyone, We use Unique Management for our material recovery efforts and I'd like to create some reports showing the success of these efforts. Are any of you, who use the same material recovery vendor, willing to share your reports? If so, please reply with screen shots of your report setup. Re: [OPEN-ILS-GENERAL] Statiscial Categories report question
I spoke to soon, I'm able to "sort of" get statistical category count data, but not circ data. So I'm still struggling with this and would greatly appreciate ideas from others. Re: [OPEN-ILS-GENERAL] Acq report of invoices with totals
Hi Beth, I’ve not been able to show the TOTAL AMOUNT SPENT PER INVOICE and would like to see your query for doing that. Can you share it? But, this report does not include additional charges. We have to run a separate report for those. I was not able to create one report that would include both. If someone else has, I would love to see the query. If you would like more information about our report templates, just let me know. Part of our issue may be that we can only use the reporting tool in Evergreen which might not be capable of doing what I would like since I can’t seem to create a report that gives the results we want. We would definitely appreciate help if anyone has created a report such as this that works. Thank you! [OPEN-ILS-GENERAL] FW: Evergreen Acquistions vs some other method
We've been struggling to get Evergreen Acquistions set up and working, and are gaining ground. But it's time for us to evaluate the pro/con of even using an acquisition module, vs. using some other method. I've got 3 questions for everyone... 1) Do you use Evergreen Acqisitions and if yes, do you use it all or only some portion of it. 2) If you do not use Evergreen Acquistions, do you use some other Acquistion software and if yes, what is it. 3) If you do not use any Acquisition software, what method do you use to keep track of funds/ encumbrances/ect.? I'm posting this same question to the Cataloging group. [OPEN-ILS-GENERAL] Another LARL member introduction
Greetings Evergreen Community, I think I'm the last Lake Agassiz Regional Library group member to introduce herself. Have been busy answering migration questions and filling out mapping spreadsheets. What an exciting time. I'm Sharon Douglas, manage most of the settings, data cleanup, and reporting for the automation system. Have a cataloging background, which seriously helps when working out why a title isn't showing up in the web catalog. When not working, I can't help but try making basic food ingredients from scratch. Just finished trying out the idea of dehydrating sour cream, turning it into a powder, and storing it. What did I learn? While this taste great rehydrated, you really do need to get it into a fine powder form. Grainy sour cream, not so great.
