May include hands-on new development as well as support, maintenance or enhancement of existing applications. Works closely with client management to identify and specify complex business requirements and processes. Researches and evaluates alternative solutions and makes recommendations. Perform performance tuning to improve performance of the application including familiarity with available tools for such functions. Experience: 5 to 10 years. Skills and Competencies: - Technical skills and expertise to analyze business and system needs – Solid understanding of systems architecture and design concepts. Knowledge of C/C++, OOP, STL, Multithreading, Sockets, Internals, High Availability, and Shell scripting, all on a Linux platform. Knowledge of network protocols: TCP/IP, UDP, Multicast, Low-latency, high availability.
