*Position- Java Developer Location- New York Duration- 6+ months **At least

*Responsibilities:*
• Performing hands-on software development and testing, including
writing code, API specs, conducting code reviews and testing in ongoing
sprints, or doing proof of concepts/automation tools
• Perform as Application Architect in designing and building the
Platform
• Serving as a core member of an agile team that drives user story
analysis and elaboration, designs and develops software applications, and
tests and builds automation tools
• Owning all technical aspects of software development for assigned
applications
• Driving consistent development practices - tools and common
components; Developing deep understanding of tie-ins with other systems and
platforms within the supported domains
• Identifying exciting opportunities for adopting new technology to
solve existing needs and predicting future challenges
• Perform Proof of Concepts with new exciting technologies
• Mentoring engineers, and may have management responsibilities over
engineers
*Qualifications**:*
• 6+ years of software engineering experience; product
management/development experience is a plus.
• Substantial experience with Agile application development methods
preferably 2+ years experience using SCRUM
• Experience with Java application architecture, design and development
in an Enterprise setting using J2EE, frameworks like (MEAN, Spring,
Hibernate), SQL and nonSQL databases, Big Data platforms etc.
• Demonstrated experience with object-oriented design and coding skills
across a variety of platforms: JAVA, HTML, Oracle.
• Experience in Redhat JBOSS Suite (EAP, JBPM, JBRMS, Camel, FUSE etc.)
preferred
• Experience in Redhat openshift technologies a plus.
• Demonstrated experience with continuous integration frameworks
(Jenkins) and DevOps
• Experience with distributed (multi-tiered) systems, algorithms, and
relational
• Experience with nosql Data Bases, node is a plus
• Ability to effectively communicate across third parties, technical,
and business product managers on solution design
• Experience with payments technology and industry is a plus
• Effectively communicates with internal and external business partners
• Expertise in objected oriented analysis and design across a variety
of platforms
• Ability to think abstractly and deal with ambiguous/under-defined
problems
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, computer
engineering, or other technical discipline, or equivalent work experience,
is preferred
Relevant technical certifications, is a plus
