Software Development Engineer – Test (* SDET )
Location:
St. Louis, MO and Pleasanton, CA
Duration:
Long Term Contract
*Responsibilities:*
· Contribute to product development team in moving our leading
mortgage software solutions to the next level with high quality deliverables
· Create test plans and test case using test case management system
· Performs hands-on manual & automation testing for the entire
platform technology stack (Functional and non-functional)
· Investigate test and production failures, perform root-cause
analysis and create detailed, high-quality error reports
· Strong familiarity with relational database or NoSQL technologies
and queries
· Validate code changes against existing test suites
· Participate in product and feature design with Developers/Product
Manager
· Support product deployments to production environment
· Collaborate closely with groups in and outside the development
team (e.g. Development, Product Management, UE, Tech Pub) to achieve high
quality, predictable results
*Required Skills:*
· Bachelors or higher degree in a computer software or related field
· 3+ years of professional experience in *Testing and Automation at
the Platform layer*
· Experience with *java based test automation tools and framework*
· Solid Experience *with Agile* based test methodology, familiar
with Continuous Integration such as Jenkins, Hudson, etc.
· Expertise in programmatically testing/implementing *Web services,
REST/JSON /XML based Micro Services, and familiarity with UI framework and
elements.*
· Experience in *Mortgage/finance domain*
· Experience with database concepts and databases such as *SQL
Server, Oracle, or NoSQL databases*
· Experience with working in *DevOps environment* – “you build it,
you run it”
· Experience in large-scale software deployments
· Great attention to detail and ability to identify, isolate and
document defects in complex software features
· Ability to adapt to short sprint cycles (2 weeks) and experienced
in the full software lifecycles from design to deployment
· Strong analytical thinking and problem solving skills
· Strong verbal and written communication skills
· Excellent understanding of Cloud based architecture and large
scale distributed system
· Experience with performance & security testing is desired
