Title: SE Planner Duration: 6 Months- Direct Client Location: Richmond, VA
The Solutions Engineering Planner role represents the Enterprise Technology Organization (ETO) to the various Business Information Office (BIO) organizations for infrastructure investment projects. The planner is responsible for overall infrastructure project delivery, ensuring that the project meets commitments obtained from various ETO technical performer groups. The SE Planner provides budget and resource estimates obtained from various ETO performer groups to the project manager, communicates variances, provides documentation as required to assist the project manager in compliance with standard project processes, and communicates scheduled changes and rollouts to Technology Operations management and support staff. The ideal candidate is typically a project manager with a history of infrastructure project delivery, or a previously hands on technical person that has moved more towards infrastructure project management. Responsibilities: • Participates in projects that design, develop and implement new and emerging technologies, platforms and services • Participates in development of business cases and obtaining approvals for capital expenditures for projects • Maintains project plan and financials for assigned projects • Partners with cross functional IT groups, business customers and third party vendors to provide solutions utilizing technologies supported in Enterprise Technology Operations (ETO) while meeting application requirements and the business needs of the projects • Accountable for ensuring solutions are aligned with the long-term target architecture of the company • Prepare and/or coordinate the development of documentation and graphics for projects, programs, and initiatives related to systems, installations/builds, and operations • Effectively communicates and turns over solution to production environment and technical support to insure seamless transition Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: • Strong project management skills, and the ability to maintain project plans in MS Project • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects and tasks • Demonstrated knowledge of hardware and software architectures and their components • Familiarity with creating financial estimates for infrastructure projects, forecasting spend, and tracking financials • Strong leadership and negotiation skills • Ability to manage competing and fluctuating business investment projects and priorities • Ability to perform cost/benefit/risk assessments and analysis • Strong consultation and customer interaction skills • Excellent organization, written and verbal skills • Minimum seven years experience delivering projects in support of an enterprise wide distributed computing environment, including some of the following: • LAN/WAN (Understanding of routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs and BigIP) • Security • Network Security (Fundamentals of securing networks) • E-commerce • Microsoft Windows Server • UNIX (Linux and Solaris) Please send your updated Resume to j...@mapleresource.net -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Open Source Erp & Crm" group.
