Required Skills: 8+ years’ experience in an enterprise level distributed environment (SAN, Virtual, UNIX, Windows, Data Center) 3+ years SQL experience in an enterprise environment Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with current clients, prospective clients, and with internal personnel. Solid understanding of TCP/IP, LDAP, DNS SMTP and other networking areas. Proficiency in enterprise storage technologies such as NAS and Storage Area Networking, and Backup & Recovery. Info: Performs day to day monitoring and maintenance of diverse installed base of Oracle and SQL servers including systems infrastructure stability, availability, patching, and security compliance. Creates and maintains library of documentation for all equipment, processes, and procedures including detailed build procedure documents. Maintains an accurate inventory of existing DB installations to provide server resource information for projects and for client billing. Assists in version recommendations and procurement of database software. Maintains relationship and frequently interfaces with Oracle/Microsoft and 3rd party vendors. Communicates and coordinates scheduled maintenance, backups, and downtime to users.
