*Location:  San Francisco*

*Duration:: 3-6 mts+*

*Rate: 45.00*

*Clients 1st preference is  EAD,  Green Cards or Citizens  but open to local
H1B candidates*



Must have Java/J2EE development skills  experience


Candidates that are not local should be able to relocate to San Francisco
area quickly***

Provide hands-on expertise for Build and Release Engineering. Support
Release Engineering, Release Packaging and Release Deployment.

Primary Responsibilities
• Prepare and package software Releases. Package, validate and troubleshoot
Release assemblies throughout non-production environments.
• Provide technical expertise and install Release Packages.
• Provide day-to-day Release Management support to the Product(s) within
Primary area of responsibility.
• Provide technical leadership to build new / update existing Release
documentation.
• Coordinate and collaborate with other departments to resolve Release and
Build dependencies to ensure smooth and timely Release Deployments.
• Adhere and enforce governing Release / SCCM policies and procedures, and
contribute to their refinements over time.
• Partner with developers, QA engineers, peers and other technical owners to
provide timely and quality build resolutions.

Secondary Responsibilities
• Assist with Software Configuration Management and Software Change
Management.

Qualifications
• 5+ years experience in build engineering / release management in large
commercial software environment.
• Expertise in Branching, Merging, (Re)Baselining.
• Highly motivated and self-driven. Ability to multi-task and work
effectively with limited supervision.
• Strong knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle, Software
Configuration Management practices, Release Management methodologies and
Production support.
• Excellent communication skills and mature work ethics to provide superior
customer support. High degree of energy and commitment to work.

Skills
• Experience with Unix, NT, Java/J2EE, WAS, MS-IIS, Oracle
• Working knowledge of Perl, Ant, Maven, Windows, and Unix shell scripting.
• Must be a team player, proactive and able to communicate well, verbally
and in writing
• Must be able to respond well to challenging deadlines and to interface
well with various disciplines and departments. Must be capable of
multi-tasking
• Understanding of Software Development Lifecycle

Additional Skills
• ClearCase / ClearQuest, UCM, RUP.
• Working knowledge of Release Automation and Scripting Tools.
• Working knowledge of Software Configuration and Software Change.

Education
• BS CS/CE degree or equivalent experience**
