*Description of Project & Position:*
MD3(Multi-Dimensional Drug Designer) is the main application for medicinal
chemists and ADMET(the user interface that displays the ADME data in a
meaningful, useful way) scientists to design/evaluate/analyze molecules.
MD3 made critical leaps forward in 2015 with the incorporation of the MMP
functionality, and ADME(Absorption, Distribution, Metabolism, Excretion)
models that allow scientists to analyze a number of aspects of their
hypothesis in real-time. As the application has grown in both features as
well as number of users, the interface and underlying capabilities need to
be continuously honed to match scientific and performance demands.
*Duties and Responsibilities:*
• MOE(Molecular Operating Environment) improvements (access to
fragments and direct access to Cresset tools)
• Incorporate Maximum Common Substructure (MCS)-based docking
algorithms
• Improve on the design workflow to make tasks easier and more
intuitive for the scientists
• Improve MMP integration to take full advantage of Molecular Match
Pair Analysis results. Today there are some processes in place to
automatically/systematically analyze most of
the ADMET end points that are meaningful to the end user, but
that needs to be expanded to cover more cADMET(Global models) and Med Chem
properties as well as statistics.
• Provide capabilities to suggest alternative designs with a better
overall activity/ADMET profile that is easier to synthesize/purchase
• Enable project-specific visualizations linking assay
data/predicted profile with appropriate visualizations (expand ADMET view
in MD3)
• Prepare for integration with Lilly Life Science Studio
*Required Skills (Indicate if only desired or preferred):*
• Visual studio with TFS
• C# .net
• Dev Express or other UI component package
• Java/python is a plus
• Game-development experience is a plus
• Great programming knowledge/experience
• Good understanding of software engineering principles
• Experience with version control software
• Good communication skills
• High self-motivation
• Attention to detail
• Hands-on experience with Oracle database (PL/SQL language)
and an expert in creating tables, build/optimize complicated queries
• Expert in web services design/implementation
• Expert in interface design
*Education and Qualifications (include degree(s) required, certifications,
etc.):*
• Bachelor's degree in a technical, science or engineering
discipline preferred.
• 4+ years of software development experience
