Strong experience working in an *EMC environment*
Prior large enterprise experience
Must be able to design/develop/engineer complex solutions
this person will also be hands on, performing day to day administration of
the *EMC Storage environment*

This candidate must have skills related to* Tier 1 and 2 storage
technologies from EMC.* This position will be part of a team that will
provide operational support to the EMC environment. Responsibilities will
include; ensuring that storage systems are running smoothly, provisioning
storage, troubleshooting access/performance problems, and assessing storage
needs from other internal IT groups.



*Requirements:*

*1. *5+ years of *experience supporting EMC and storage technologies.*
*2*.The candidate must have advanced knowledge and demonstrable experience
working with* EMC technologies to include NAS, SAN, Data Domain and various
types of fabric switches.*
*3*. Experienced in the *design and implementation of fiber channel storage
area networks*
*4*. Advanced experience of tiered storage in a corporate and distributed
environment
*5*.The candidate must have previous experience with enterprise class
backup infrastructures and various replication technologies.
Upgrade, firmware, and patch management
*6*. Infrastructure design and *Implementation of EMC VNX and EMC VMAX
storage clusters*
*7*. Storage commissioning and decommissioning
*8*. SAN/Storage Engineering
*9*. Familiarity with* SRDF technology, single and multi mode fiber
connection, data replication, snapshots, BCV Storage switch fabric, open
replicator, Open migratory, SAN copy* etc
*10*. Setting up* SRDF links and scripting*
*11*. Familiarity of Windows*, AIX, iSeries environments.*
*12*. Familiarity with *SQL and Oracle technologies.*
*13*. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
*14. *Strong interpersonal and relationship-building-skills
*15*. Ability to handle* multiple tasks, set priorities, schedule, and meet
deadlines*.
*16*. Experience in* monitoring and troubleshooting of storage environments*
for issue resolution
*17*. On-Call interaction with Infrastructure teams to resolve issues
*18.* Escalation of technical issues for communication and engagement
*19*. Proven competency of common tools associated with* infrastructure, MS
Office, ticketing tools, device connectivity, PowerPoint, and Visio*
*20*. Performance *Tuning*
*21*. Time based reporting includin*g health, activity, and status*
*22*. Capacity and performance management and reporting
*23*. Work closely with vendors and technical resources on projects and
support
Coordination with* EMC vendor* for disk/failure component replacement
Production Support with structured change management processes
*24*. Understanding of *network infrastructure and protocols.*
*25*. Experience with *storage design and tactical implementation of the
storage platforms for Database servers, File servers and virtualized server*
farms is essential.
