Re: [OpenIndiana-discuss] switching from IR to IT mode on a LSI SAS2008 card

If you're paranoid, export the pool and remove or move aside the zpool cache file (rm /etc/zfs/zpool.cache). Btw, does the sas2008 use the mptsas or the mpt driver? 3Gpbs or 6Gpbs? It is the mptsas driver running 6Gpbs. The card seems to be working fine, aside from that one disk, is there any reason to change it from IR to IT mode? It is acting as an HBA, I didn't do any raid configuration on it at all. thanks, Geoff ___ OpenIndiana-discuss mailing list OpenIndiana-discuss@openindiana.org http://openindiana.org/mailman/listinfo/openindiana-discuss

Another note, this is on the same card where I had some disconnects from a drive. I would assume there is no connection around a card misbehaving and having it in IT mode; especially when most of the errors were coming from a single drive. I think it may depend on hardware. We use Supermicro 846E16 case and Hitachi HDS723020BLA642 drives. ___ OpenIndiana-discuss mailing list OpenIndiana-discuss@openindiana.org http://openindiana.org/mailman/listinfo/openindiana-discuss
