Re: [Opensim-dev] .NET 3.5 support

2009-08-19 Thread Frisby, Adam
We're on the subset Mono 2.0.1 supports. As soon as 2.4 becomes standard, we
may upgrade to 2.4 (which is fairly complete as far as 3.5 is concerned)

I believe HashSet is safe to use however. The buildbot on Panda is the ultimate
arbiter - if it compiles there, it's safe to use.

It looks like the default build for OpenSim projects was recently
changed to .NET 3.5. Can a submitted patch include features from .NET
3.5 such as HashSet? Are all 3.5 features supported by Mono? Thanks,

Re: [Opensim-dev] .NET 3.5 support

2009-08-18 Thread Zack Geers
I was told is anything that is compatable with Mono 2.0.1 is fine.
I've used this as a guide:
http://www.mono-project.com/Release_Notes_Mono_2.0 (2.0.1 is just bugfixes)

But I also have a VM that I installed Fedora on, with the 2.0.1
version of the framework, so I can test out any new libraries that I'm
intrested in using.
