Re: [Opensim-users] Items purchased on Hypergrid never delivered in inventory...

Luca... can you see any (red) errors reported on the OpenSim.exe console for the region where the Hypergrid visitor is obtaining the item that is not coming into inventory... at the time they try to take the item? No error at all, in both robust and simulator console log. But after five minutes after sending my e-mail (as usual) I'd found the problem: authentication on Robust server. Setting authentication in both Robust.ini and OpenSim.ini AuthType = BasicHttpAuthentication HttpAuthUsername = an_uncommon_user_name HttpAuthPassword = a_very_robust_password has this side effect: no hypergrid purchased items are delivered in My Suitcase folder of the user's inventory. Removing authentication configuration restore usual simulator behaviour. I am seeing a similar... but not identical.. issue where a HG visitor takes a copy of a full perm item (or clicks to get the contents of a box given) and they appear to arrive in the My Suitcase folder. But on return to the visitors home grid those items will not rez and report unable to find assets by UUID See http://opensimulator.org/mantis/view.php?id=7397 Never see this problem on my simulator, now I'm at work but later in the afternoon I will try on Openvue and AiLand grids. -- Luca Villani - OpenSailing.org, NOC manager UIN: 76272621Skype: luca.villani GPG public key available ___ Opensim-users mailing list Opensim-users@opensimulator.org http://opensimulator.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/opensim-users

[Opensim-users] Load OAR --default-user
Hi all, Yesterday I had occasion to load an OAR file into a region with the --default-user switch, and it worked perfectly the first time. The OAR loaded just fine with me as the owner. I was able to go in and make changes to the content on the region, and when I was finished, I saved the OAR out (regular save, no parameters). I then reloaded the OAR again with the --default-user switch to change the content owner to a different avatar, however, no matter what I do, the content seems to be owned by me - no matter what avatar name I put in the parameter. Troubleshooting steps I tried that didn't resolve the issue: - Restarting the simulator - Loading a blank OAR file and then reloading my saved OAR with the --default-user switch and new avatar name - Load the saved OAR with the --default-user switch and new avatar name in a different region (same result, the content is still owned by me, and I should note, I am NOT the estate owner for that region) - Clearing my viewer cache I also tested loading the OAR with the --default-user switch using an avatar name that doesn't exist on the grid to ensure that it was properly checking to see if the account exist, and it did return an error on the console that the fake account didn't exist, so it is checking. Any thoughts or suggestions for what to try next? - Chris/Fleep ___ Opensim-users mailing list Opensim-users@opensimulator.org http://opensimulator.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/opensim-users
Re: [Opensim-users] HyperGrid Export flag
You didn't see the recent discussion on this very list [1]? If I remember the upshot is that it is partially settable in recent Singularity and is not fully integrated. With respect to HyperGrid, I note that work began around 0.7.6 for supporting an export flag for objects. The release notes indicate at this point it should be considered experimental. I can't really find any other mention of it in release notes, and my Googling seems to suggest that some grids (ie Kitely) may have progressed further on this feature but nothing to say 'it is or isn't working for everyone now'. So my potentially dumb question is: Given no further mention in the release notes, is it a feature that can still be considered 'experimental', or has it progressed to the point that it can be considered a working feature?
