Apache stops working without any diagnostics when gost engine is used via SSLCryptoDevice gost directive. The problem can be solved by commenting out lines 81-85 in gost_eng.c. These lines were introduced to avoid double loading of the gost engine between 1.0.1c and 1.0.1e, if I'm not mistaken. But in the letters by Dr. Stephen Henson about this and related problems there was an idea to not to stop the second load of engine but to return its copy/increasing refcounter/etc. Is it possible to fix it better than it was?
