Re: [Openstack] How to Install OpenStack ???????????
Hi Jake, If you just want a test env, RDO would get you up and running. When you plan to use OpenStack for production, you may need to know more about openstack internals: such as working through one of the openstack manuals etc. Cheers, Heling On 07/12/2013 08:47 PM, Jake G. wrote: Hi Mark, Thanks for your reply. I have about 3 physical rack servers and practically unlimited virtual machines. Right now I only need a test environment. I was thinking one physical server that will house and power openstack instances and virtual for all the other roles. How does that sound? What is your recommended setup? Re: [Openstack] How to Setup Networking for single node installation with 3 NICs
Hi, Here's some documentation on packstack: https://access.redhat.com/site/documentation/en-US/Red_Hat_OpenStack_Preview/2/html/Getting_Started_Guide/part-Deploying_OS_using_PackStack.html especially the editing an answer file section is relevant. And the openstack.redhat.com forums is also rather helpful resource. Re: [Openstack] Is there any possible to attach an extra iso for an existing instance?
A workaround would be downloading the iso (or the files on it) into the instance and run it. 在 2013-5-18 上午11:35,Ray Sun xiaoq...@gmail.com写道: I see, Thanks. Re: [Openstack] OpenStack Training
Hi Chris, Rackspace has a free CloudU training and certification program ( http://www.rackspace.com/knowledge_center/cloudu/), which should provide you with a solid grounding in the area of cloud computing. And to learn openstack, in addition to what John said, there are many aspects of OpenStack, such as OpenStack operations, business opportunities etc. Getting involved in the community is a good start. Speaking of using laptop, I just installed RDO from Redhat ( openstack.redhat.com) in a xen vm, and it worked like a charm :-) Cheers, Heling On Fri, Apr 26, 2013 at 4:15 AM, Chris Bartels ch...@christopherbartels.com wrote: Hi, ** ** My experience with virtualization has been limited to the ProxmoxVE platform, and with it I’m quite adept after working with it for a few years, however I’m looking forward to migrating to OpenStack would like to find a way to learn as much about it as I can, in as efficient a manner as possible. ** ** I’m currently in the process of selling my laptop on eBay so that I can buy a cheap used server with which to tinker with the new OpenStack Grizzly release so I can start to learn first-hand about working with the software, so I have that to look forward to, but I’m also on the lookout for more opportunities to soak up information. ** ** Today I found the ‘OpenStack Foundation’ YouTube channel, and have been watching videos all morning. Re: [Openstack] KVM on Ubuntu server 13.04
Hi, If your cpu doesn't support virtualization, kvm wouldn't run properly; maybe that's why qemu-system-x86 is selected. Other than that, I have no idea why.
